I will be posting all of BeyUK's updates in here. This will mean that this forum won't get cluttered with updates from BeyUK as we are updating practically four times a week. Feel free to comment on any of the updates that are in this thread. I will start off with todays update.

To start the update off we have new images from the Takara-Tomy web site. We have four new images for Escolpio and Capricorne. For every bodies information, I have not spelt Escolpio wrong. It has had a last minute name change from Escorpio to Escolpio. I'm not to sure why as Escorpio sounded more appropriate. Regardless, images have been added to the site.
Along with these images of the two new blades, I have also added the WD145 track to the track dictionary for everybody. So be sure to check that out as well. The track and bottom dictionaries provide a great resource to those that are new to the Metal Fight Beyblade scene. We have both visual and text references so be sure to visit both by clicking these links: track and bottom dictionaries.
I have also added a new area to the game category. Under the Beyblade systems I have added a crossed out, soon to be linked, page for the Metal Fight Hybrid System. This is the new system that is to be released with all releases mentioned in the update below.

Beyblade War Room: Hey, this is important!

Hello, World Bladers!
We need to talk about Beyblade War Room. For those not in the know, Beyblade War Room -- or BWR -- is a large Beyblade tournament that the WBO will be hosting in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on May 24. Those of you in Canada or the Northern USA may be able to attend, so look into it! You can find the official thread for it here: http://worldbeyblade.org/thread-2374.html
I wanted to make an announcement about this so I could reach everyone, because I am trying to push this event as much as I can, so do everything you can to come!
I had a phone meeting with the head of AN Gaming today. It was mostly a lot of boring technical stuff that isn't of any real relevance here, but I need a favour from you guys!
I want anyone who attended BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! last year or anyone who's planning on attending BWR this year to e-mail info@animenorth.com with your feedback. We need to show them that there is a strong presence for Beyblade here! Tell them what you thought about last year's event and how you're looking forward to this year. (Make sure to point out that we didn't have nearly enough space last year ...)
Let's talk about how I want to promote the event while at AN. Since the event is on Saturday, I want to spend Friday getting the word out about BWR. Here are my ideas.
It's looking like my budget should be similar to previous events so I'll try to do as much as I can with it. Any ideas on what you guys would think of as good prizes?(Don't say Aries or Quetzalcoatl. Bang for buck, here!) I was planning on getting a case of the new boosters, but considering we've heard there will be no metal Wheels in them ... well, I don't see that being very useful to us. However, the Hybrid Wheel Match Set and the other March releases are definitely good suggestions.
If there's any suggestions anyone has for the event, please tell me! Also, RSVP in the event thread! If you have any questions, post away!

- Have Bladers playing Beyblade at different, highly populated areas of the convention. - Probably on the Saturday a few hours before BWR we will host Beyblade University, a Beyblade workshop where we will go over the basics of Beyblade. I will prepare a slideshow presentation and AN has already promised me a projector and microphone and other things.

WBO Rules Booklet Release 3 Out!

Release 3 of the WBO Rules Booklet is out! Here is an outline of the major changes:
Due to some confusion about how the points worked in the BeyBattle system, I've rewritten and renamed the format so people will hopefully be less confused. The new system is the 3V (Three Victory) System.
A new tournament format has been added, the Round Robin Block System. This is for use when there isn't enough time/there are too many competitors for a full Round Robin. Tie-breaking information has also been added.
The following has been added to the Ten Battles per Week per Couple rule:
This rule does not apply to battles that occur at WBO events, whether they be part of a tournament or not. Battles occurring at a WBO event do not count towards the ten battle limit.
That's everything! Please read the new rules carefully.

2009 Beyblade World Tour: Let's Go!

Hello all Bladers of the world!
Us here at the WBO are revving up for the 2009 season and our goal is to host many tournaments worldwide! Already we have two confirmed events in Canada, one in the USA and one in the UK, but my goal is to also have some organized in Turkey, Mexico, Australia, and anywhere else where there's a large enough Beyblade presence to warrant one. I'd like to get a schedule going for 2009 soon, so it's time to start planning! Check out the World Beyblade Organization forum for details on all of these events. The goal is to have several high-volume events during May through August.
However, I need to ask for all of your help in two ways. First off, I need to talk about our finances ... or lack thereof. While Anime North does finance our infamous events in Toronto, there is currently zero funding for any of the other events. I'm willing to support these events out of pocket as much as I can, which unfortunately isn't much. We're desperately in need for sponsorship if we're going to make 2009 a great year for Beyblade. So, if you're interested in donating, check it out here.
Secondly, I need to hear from people who want tournaments in their areas. If there isn't an event already scheduled in your vicinity, feel free to send me a PM or post about it in the World Beyblade Organization forum looking for interest. Confirmed cheating on the WBS

It is with great disappointment that I address you all this way.
After investigation, I have concluded that the top ranked users on the WBS, which were kai_yigit, avaz and BeyBlade (previously 123456789) have all been artificially increasing their Bey Points by submitting losses from fake duplicate accounts.
From the start, there was concern among the WBO Committee that cheating would be a big problem for us, but I had hope. I offered no prizes or awards for ranking high on the WBS in the hopes that it would dissuade cheating. I hoped that nobody would be so disgusting that they would cheat on a volunteer ranking system run by fans of Beyblade as a free service to fans of Beyblade.
I was wrong. All three of these users are guilty. Thankfully, I haven't yet found evidence to suggest that there are other users cheating. But if these users have, it seems only inevitable that there will be more in the future.
I want to make it clear (as if it really needs to be made clear) that artificially inflating Bey Points with fake accounts is absolutely unacceptable and will lead to immediate, permanent bans -- which all of these users have been subject to. Furthermore, every time someone cheats on this system, it furthers the likelihood of us shutting down the system altogether.
So much time and work went into developing this system that it seems a waste to shut it down, but I want to make it clear that I am absolutely prepared to do that. A more likely option in the immediate short-term is that we will limit ranked battles to being witnessed by authorized WBO staff only. As of right now, it will be left open while we decide what to do.
I wanted to leave the system open to users so that everyone would be able to compete without having to wait months for a WBO event to come up -- or perhaps not even come up at all. We cannot organize events to suit everyone, but this was the best we could do. Unfortunately, if people are determined to abuse our hard work and good will, I will have no choice but to take it away from everyone.

I am happy to announce that ZenX has decided to join the WBO Committee as our head of Turkish development. With all the mess that's been going on with Beyblade Web, I decided that it was no use to continue to just sit around. He's currently working hard at translating the WBO rules into Turkish and even developing a Turkish WBO Beyblade website! So, thanks for your hard work ZenX! I'm sure we'll all work together well.

While some users have figured it out already, the WBO has a new Youtube Channel, appropriately titled Beyblade Channel!
I wanted to deliver absolutely the best Beyblade video experience in the world, so that's what I'm going for with this. My goal is to provide loads of high quality, high definition Beyblade videos with no fillers and no random battle requests between terrible Beyblades! Any video posted here will have a purpose for serious Bladers.
The meaning of this is that essentially our old Beywiki Channel is now defunct. I haven't decided yet if I will move the videos here over to Beyblade Channel or simply leave them there. What do you guys think?

International Update

Hello Bladers!
Lately, we've been working with a lot of groups all over the world to expand our vision! I wanted to talk about some of our international developments.
Our first exciting bit of news is that we are now working with the ABBM (Mexican Beyblade Association), which is going to be assimilated into the WBO as our Mexican branch! We are excited to work with everyone and I know we'll be able to organize some exciting campaigns in Mexico.
Over the next day or so, a Spanish version of our software will be installed and a Spanish Beyblade forum will be opened for our Spanish-speaking members!
One step closer to BEYDOMINATION!
I also wanted to talk about the Turkish situation. Although I had originally organized an affiliation with Beyblade Web (http://beybladeweb.com), the administrator Kultart not only deleted all references to the WBO from Beyblade Web, but began banning Beyblade Web members who were members of the WBO. I want the message out that I absolutely condemn these acts by Kultart; it is a disgusting attempt to separate the Beyblade community and is being done out of nothing but selfishness. I want Turkish members to feel safe here and free to join any community they want.
We are currently talking about how to deal with the situation with them and working on an alternative to reach out and help the Turkish Beyblade community strive.

Well guys and girls. The final update for the week. We have part of the new Manga chapter for you to view thanks to Beyblade Spirit. We also have the new character profile. The character has been revealed below. Breedo, is currently working on a few updates for us. All of them will be of interest to you all. I am continuing to work on "the image" that can be found in the forum, the link is here. Be sure to read all the pages to see development and let me know with your thoughts. Signing Up is required for this thread I'm afraid. The first update for the third week in December. We have quite a bit in this update. The main focus is the game section, however the anime update is just as important. We have a new affiliate which is the first thing. For those of you that use the forum, which I advise everybody to do, you will have noticed I opened two new topics for L Drago and the Random Booster Volume 2 - Legendary Pisces Set. This contains new photos that were released on Toys R Us Japan earlier this morning. They are now available here to view. By joining the forum you will 9/10 now about this sort of stuff before it appears up here. Finally, Unknown God has complete something in the anime section. All details and information on everything is contained below. Unknown God has provided me with a new Christmas Special Update for next week. This will add a new section to the Media category of the site. I will let you speculate on what this could be as me and Unknown God will now be saying anything. The Unknown God has managed to complete the entire Beyblade V-Force Episode Guide section. This is a great achievement for a single person. So this is another area completed in the anime section. The Unknown God has managed to complete the entire Beyblade V-Force Episode Guide section. This is a great achievement for a single person. So this is another area completed in the anime section. He promises to complete the G-Revolution guides by the time Metal Fight Beyblade is released in April in Japan. This is the final update for this week. A Toys update has been made, it isn't a full blown update, but it is instead just providing some vital information regarding theINtoy and the MFB Beyblades. It isn't too bad but is worth your attention nonetheless. The long awaited character profile is now up for every bodies viewing pleasure. Finally, I have been working hard on a new image that will interest everybody. Your input is vital to its success. More info on this provided below. Keep it real and I hope you enjoy the update!

This is just a small column regarding theINtoy. TheINtoy will be receiving some the RBV2 in stock over the December period. However, due to an out sell in Japan on these, they have had to look else where for them. This comes at a huge risk and price for us in the UK though. They will be a bit more expensive do to this complication, but no excessively expensive. I'm sure that everybody will still buy from them regardless. They apologize for this mix up but there is nothing they can do. They remain 100% dedicated towards Beyblade and have been since 2002. There motto still remains active to this date and pretty solid, we like beyblades, and as long as we can find supplies we will stock them. This remains true to this date, so don't feel put off because of a slight increase in price. If you want more in depth information regarding this then I have permission to give out information from theINtoy. Email me at beyuk[at]hotmail.co.uk with any queries.

I have finally got the results of the most recent poll. To no surprise, Emily won. Everybody seems to want the female characters up first before the male characters. Another update, this will be on of maybe three updates this week. From what your about to see see it is only a small update but on my part it is pretty big. It has taken me two days to complete this update. New photos were needed for the update and edits to the Beyblade A-Z were made. New blades were added amongst all the edits. More info is available below on this update. WBO are going Turkish? Yep folk, Brad at WBO along with members of the website BeybladeWeb, a Turkish Beyblade Fan Site/Forum, are making the WBO in Turkish. This is the first leap for the project in terms of multi-lingual support. More infor is below:

Here is another update to the game section for everybody. As part of the on going process of renewing all the photographs on the website, I chose to take on the massive task of the Beyblade A-Z for both the plastics and HMS. I have added my entire collection to the work and will now be speaking to Gekiryu to take photos of her collection that have not already been added. After this I will photographing my friends and adding those as well. The information on the Beyblade A-Z's has been put to one side as I believe that getting the photos up is more important. People want to be able to see what the blades look like first. Links for these two sections can be found below:

As well as the new photos, I have taken away the Beyblade Part Stats as they are complete nonsense. I have therefore replaced the stats with the weight of the attack ring. I will be editing the weight disks to follow suite. However, the stats will be kept and the weight disk weight will be added as additional information.

For a short time, no new users from Beybladeweb will be coming, for the reason that one son of a prostitute administrator in Beybladeweb has deleted the instruction topics about WBO. I will put them on BBweb again a.s.a.p and bust that brat and give him a good... whatever.

As I'm sure everyone's noticed, we're getting a lot of members from Turkey since the WBO launched. I've been wondering how to handle this. Obviously, this is primarily an English-language board first, but if we want to open up to the rest of the world, we need to make the effort.
Ironically, this post focuses on the Turkish community but is written in English ... once I get in touch with one of our translators I will have it translated into Turkish!
To start, we've opened up a Beyblade discussion forum exclusively for our Turkish members: http://worldbeyblade.org/forum-29.html
Next up, you can actually view the board in Turkish now! Obviously not everything is translated -- no posts are translated, for example -- but most of the interface will be in Turkish. I redid the buttons myself!
You can quickly change the language using this!

We're also working on a Turkish translation of the rules. I know some Turkish users have been having a bit of trouble understanding, so I want to get that done as soon as we can do it.
Also, yes, to use the WBS if you already have an account, or to register if you don't, you must enter your real name, address and phone number. This is simply to prevent cheating on the WBS. This information will never be shared with anyone outside of the WBO staff, and no other members can see it. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to PM me.
I would also like to address the possibility of the World Battle System rankings being reset over the next week or two (meaning, Bey Points set at 1000 and all battles erased for all users). As the WBS is beta software right now, there are no guarantees. I want to make sure everything is off to a good start and messy rankings isn't the way to do it.

As you can see, I will update the news bar below the banner every time there are some news. On the right, there is also a place featuring the events organized/sanctioned by the World Beyblade Organization.
As for the new content, the main update is that I wrote an article for Metal Fight Beyblade DS.

WBO Rules Release 2 Now Available

After just a short few days, the 2nd release of the official WBO rules is now available. These rules are in effect immediately for all sanctioned WBO play.

Quote:The Blader is free to select a different Shooter or, in the case of a Dual Shooter, Spin Direction, unless they have already attached the Beyblade or inserted a Winder. Once either of these actions have been performed, the Shooter cannot be changed. In the case of the Dual Shooter, the spin direction can be changed between rounds.

Since October of 2007, Beywiki has been uniting Beybladers all over the world. Founded by Bey Brad as an answer to the lack of concrete support in the Beyblade community, Beyblade quickly rocketed away from its humble origins to attain its status as the most popular Beyblade website in the world.
If one thing has been learned from the Beywiki project, it is that Beyblade has proven to be remarkably resolute all over the world. In many parts of the world where Beyblade has not been sold in many years, there are still many Bladers yearning for battle.
With Metal Fight Beyblade having launched in Japan, Beyblade has been given a second chance. However, Takara-Tomy has no plans to begin development abroad until 2010. While the WBBA -- the World Beyblade Association -- sanctions Beyblade play in Japan, there is no truly international governing body for Beyblade competition.
That is why, effective immediately, Beywiki is being relaunched as the World Beyblade Organization (WBO). The goal of the WBO is simple -- to be a sanctioning body for Beyblade, and an organization dedicated to the promotion of Beyblade, all over the world.
The WBO functions on the Elo ranking system, employed by Chess, Go, and many competitive games and hobbies all over the world. When Bladers battle in real life, the results are reported by the loser on the WBO website. The rankings are then adjusted accordingly. The goal is to provide a comprehensive ranking system for Beyblade. By winning many battles, Bladers will climb to the top and earn the title of the best Blader in the world.
The Beywiki project is not being abandoned. The Beywiki will continue as a side-project of the WBO. However, the focus of the website has shifted from the Beywiki itself to the community that has been formed.
The WBO is reaching out to Bladers in every part of the world, Bladers who speak every language. We have begun employing translators to reach out to Bladers who cannot speak English, so you can look forward to more international content as the WBO grows.
