A few simple reforms.

Hello!

It recently came to our attention that the WBO General forum was very unorganized. Admittedly, we can understand the members who did not try to look for already existing topics for certain areas. To fix this situation, the WBO General forum has been divided into four sub-forums, each representing one main part of the world: North America, Europe, Australia, and the rest, since only a few members pertain to the other locations. It should be a lot easier to find certain topics or potential events this way. Any new topic made should be created in either one of the sub-forums.

We also want to introduce a new prefix system for both the WBO General and the Bey Marketplace forums. For the former, you now have to write the city and country you are interested in before the title. For instance, if I were to create a thread called “Anyone here in Las Vegas??”, I would have to add a prefix of the complete location right before that, so the actual topic title would end up being : “[Las Vegas, USA] Anyone here in Las Vegas??”. You could also totally omit any sort of made-up title and simply write “[Las Vegas, USA]” as the title of your topic. All of the current threads have been edited and will be moved into their respective sub-forum shortly.
For the Bey Marketplace forum, the prefixes are merely to really specify what the thread is about, since some new members have been replying to “want to buy” topics with “want to buy” responses as if it were a sale thread. Therefore, we now ask that if you want to buy something, put “[BUYING]” at the beginning of your title, or “[SELLING]” if you are looking to sell some of your Beyblade items. You can also write “[TRADING]” if that is your intention, or “[SHOP]” if you could do all three.
Those prefixes are obligatory by the way, unless the topic you want to create is very different to the situations we have listed, which should not really happen. If users who are still active could edit their topic title, we would appreciate it; otherwise, we only want every new thread made in either of those forums to have a corresponding prefix. A proper plugin will probably be installed for the Bey Marketplace forum anyway, so everything will be easier.

The stickied topics of the Bey Marketplace forum have been cleaned up as well. There will be a new "Want to know what to buy for MFB? Look here." topic, which will be locked because there is no discussion to be had in it; once new Beyblades are released, they will be tested, and if they are very useful, they will be added. Any other question will go in the Purchase Consultation thread.

Concerning the Beypoint System, there have been a few issues in the Committee and we need to finalize several things before we finally release the new system, but it is ready. Hopefully you will all like the projects we are trying to prepare.

Hello World Beybladers!

Worldbeyblade.org: 2008-Present
[Image: wboheader1.png]
One year ago, the Beywiki was transformed into what we all love today : the World Beyblade Organization!

This change has brought a whole new aspect to the site. There are now more members than ever from all over the world who get really involved in the Beyblade scene: 3,000 members and still counting! Some international communities are so important and filled with Beydetermination that they have got their own forum here! Not only that, but we also have the opportunity to organize bigger events thanks to this new organization, and the rules set down for play allow for a fair, yet still very competitive atmosphere in tournaments! The World Beyblade Organization is undoubtedly the best Beyblade community of all time!

To highlight this anniversary, we wish to thank all of our supporters very much. Therefore, all the Passport Holders who kindly donated money to keep this site going and to keep the events we organize exciting can enter to get the chance to win a free beyblade! Ah, that is what that cryptic message meant! The winner will be picked randomly out of the people who will have posted in this topic to enter the free giveaway, and five other Passport Holders will be chosen to receive a Face Booster! Just to clarify, this contest is for Passport Holders ONLY!

For the occasion, we would also like to welcome Yugi Jyudai back into the team. Bring out the fire in the Turkish community! The Italian community has done really great so far as well : just recently, they hosted their first event which even ended up being printed in a newspaper!

Moreover, the Beypoint system is very close to being ready! Yay!

…

Eh … what is it? The WBO anniversary was actually yesterday, December 4th?

… Yes it was! However, we also want to celebrate another event today: Brad Day!

Now, let us talk to you about a person who has always been very dear to this community.

Offthechain.net: 2003-2005
[Image: v6banner.jpg]
As the Beyblade fanbase was only getting started outside Japan, back in 2003, a young man appeared with an impressive interest in this revolutionary game of spinning tops. He made a website with a lot of potential, called Off the Chain. At first, the site was slightly timid, but it wasn’t long at all before several waves of visitors came to know about it. Out of all the active Beyblade websites that existed back then, that site was, for some reason, the only one with awesome and accurate information. What parts of Burning Kerberous are good? How does an Engine Gear work?! That site had all the answers! Off the Chain was, in itself, a very big step forward this early in the community since it focused mainly on the Beyblade hobby rather than on the anime or manga. That is an exploit only few people can achieve, even today!

Then, eventually, this very passionate Beyblade fan came to know a certain Japanese man who helped us discover other things about the game. By getting in contact with some of the Japanese community, he was able to open more doors to the Beybladers on the web.

One sad day however, as he was doing his duty as a Blader and participating in a tournament, in 2005, somebody stole his case full of beyblades! This huge loss almost made him give up on the hobby, but he luckily met a young, cool girl to whom he shared his knowledge about Beyblade to help her dominate in her upcoming beybattles. Doing all of this with some friends got him back into the game shortly after, determined to share so much more with Beyblade fans!

As the community was more or less at its peak, Takara suddenly decided to suspend Beyblade production and we heard no more from the company for three years. The community was really withering as people did their best to hang on to the few remains of the hobby and anime. Every Beyblader had hope in their Beyheart that the series would be brought back eventually, but years went by without any traces of news. Fewer and fewer fans could be met on the net, and even fewer ever thought that the hobby would be revived. A few bladers tried to create new places to get together as most of the old websites had been closed. Things went poorly.

Beywiki.com: 2007-2008
[Image: beywikiforumsbanner.jpg]
After observing this for a while, the determined Blader chose to come out of the subtle shadows and corrected everybody’s futile attempts to revive the Beyblade community. With his initiative, and outstanding leadership, a change in density of the fanbase was immediately observable: he created a site called ‘Beywiki’ in October 2007, and hundreds of fans joined the site in an extremely short period of time! It was really as if the only pillar of our community was the one and only Brad, Tamer Brad or Bey Brad!

It certainly puts a lot of weight on someone’s shoulders to know that a community theoretically relies on himself, but he proved to be so capable of bringing the best for us in all aspects with his awesome ideas, that we just couldn’t applaud his accomplishments accordingly! At the very least though, we want to offer him this day, December 5th, one day after the anniversary of the World Beyblade Organization, one day before his own birthday.

Thank you so much for all you have done Brad! You dedicated six years of your life to this community; a community which you built from the ground up. You have truly been an irreplaceable leader, who has brought us all together here today. You are without a doubt the best of the best, the most the community could have hoped for!

Have a very happy Brad Day!

To celebrate this special date, some elements of the layout were modified, such as the banner and the buttons. Floral patterns everywhere! Today, the WBO is the World… Brad Organization!

Now, Brad has a small tendency to be too humble in some ways, so we really want to give him something cool. Therefore, we are giving him the opportunity to decorate himself with a Face obtained from a Face Booster. Which one will you choose, Brad? Now you cannot refuse!

[Image: faceboosterred.png] [Image: faceboosterblue.png] [Image: faceboostergreen.png] [Image: faceboosterorange.png]

But wait, one Face is clearly not enough in comparison to what he has done, so we are giving him a very, very unique one of a kind Face called the Painite Face. As might be known, the painite has the world record for being the rarest gem stone in the world. See any connection… ?!

Ah! but Brad is also just such a cool guy; his passions emanate from his being with such brilliance once we get to know him, Beyblade is just the perfect example. To simply highlight this fact, we thought we would also offer you a Face based on another one of your passions, the Kiva Face!

We hope you like all of these presents, it is the least we can do. We cannot do anything for the Hybrid Wheel System right now, but we all really hope you stick with us for quite some time!
Passport Holders, post now! This is your chance to get a free beyblade! All you have to do is post here if you paid for a Blader Passport.

Note : This topic will not be kept open after Monday at the latest, so hurry and submit your participation to this giveaway as soon as possible!

Hey guys just letting you know that our server is going through some maintenance on Dec. 7. There will be some downtime during the afternoon (EST time).

(post translated by DGoon)

Hey World Bladers,

The WBO Committee is excited to announce the opening of the Italian Beyblade discussion forum on the WBO! If you're Italian, head on over to the forum right now! Italian WBO! DJ 2002 - Yeah!

DGoon has taken on the position of moderator for the Italian forum, so please consider him a member of the WBO Committee within that forum.

As we move forward, we hope to get the WBO Standard and Universal Rules translated, and also some of our Beywiki content. If any members are interested in doing so, please PM a member of the WBO Committee.

Farewell, WBO!

Hey everyone.

This will be my final news post for the foreseeable future, so I'll try to keep it short.

For starters, while I'm going to be hanging around to help out the Committee, I don't think it's fair to consider myself a member of the WBO Committee anymore. So, effective now I am not a member of the WBO Committee.

Khel and Hiro Ayami are the new Directors of Organized Play. Kei will remain the director of Beywiki, and Kai-V will be the Community Director. Best of luck to all of you!

In addition to Hiro Ayami, Yugi Jyudai will be joining him as a member of Committee, in the position of Turkish Director.

The new Beypoints System is complete but needs testing. Expect to see it live on the site in the upcoming weeks.

This site has been around for almost three years now, and I've nursed it from almost nothing into the giant community we have here today. I am glad that I created something that was able to touch the lives of so many people. However, we all change, we all move on. Even if I am no longer around as much, I will never forget the WBO and its members.

Good luck, Bladers!

My new job at MEGA

This is probably the most important news announcement I've ever written, and I'm feeling both excited and sad about this. I won't waste any time, so let's get to it.

Most of you know that I went to visit MEGA Brands Inc. and the Battle Strikers team last week. What I haven't told you is that while there, they offered me a job working on Battle Strikers. After some deliberation, I've decided to take it.

I know a lot of you view Battle Strikers as "the enemy", and I can understand how you might feel that way. However, Battle Strikers plays very differently from Beyblade. Plus, if there's room for hundreds of card games in the world, there's room for two spinning top games. And with myself working on this project, I know that we can make this toyline great; I know what works in games like this, and I know what players want, which is why the WBO was made in the first place. Hasbro and Takara-Tomy have ignored us constantly, and now this company is reaching out. I'll take it, and I'll do what I can to make Battle Strikers a better game than Beyblade. I hope you'll join me for this.

However, make no mistake; I am still a Blader, and the WBO is not closing. However, because of the obvious conflict of interest I am going to start backing off from WBO activities and pushing more responsibility to the rest of the Committee members until I am eventually a regular member.

In this life, we cannot gain anything without sacrificing something. I'm twenty years old now, and for me, this is a dream job in a dream industry. It's what I have always wanted, and it's unreasonable for anyone to expect me to give that up for a fansite. I sincerely hope all of you are happy for me, and will wish me the best.

If you're not happy for me, don't post here. Other members of the Committee will be banning any members on the spot for harassing comments. I have worked hard to achieve this, and I would ask you to respect that.

Thanks so much for all your support over these years. You've all made my dreams possible.
Hey World Bladers!

I know it's been a long time since the last update ... which was a bit of a disruptive one. To get it out of the way now, the new BeyPoints system is not read yet. However, we're on track to have it done by September.

Speaking of it, how's it working out? With the fees and such? I'm happy to say that the fees have been a rather large boon to the WBO! I've been able to afford supplies that should last us for quite some time, and hopefully we can have a contest soon. All the costs for the site are being covered perfectly, and overall we're just simply in a great position right now. And today, we finally reached 2000 members! That's just incredible. Really, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of the Bladers who've joined us on our journey. You've all shown that the world will never forget Beyblade.

So, onto the updates!

The WBO Rule Book has been updated. However, there's a rather large change. Because the community has done so well with picking up on Metal Fight Beyblade, the "Metal Fight Beyblade Format" has been renamed to "Standard Format". Most of the tournaments we've been doing are MFB only, and I think this is the best way for us to keep moving forward.

However, if this is now Standard, it means the rule book has a lot of information that isn't relevant to that format. Yes, definitely, a lot of it needed to be cut out. However, that does not mean we are abandoning players who still want to play HMS and Plastics using the WBO rules. In fact, I'm releasing two rule books tonight.

WBO Rule Book, Standard Version and Universal Version are both being released tonight as Release 1's and are available to download immediately!

Aside from that change, here are some of the updates to the rules:
  • A section on the BeyLauncher has been added due to its ... "special" attributes (it breaks a lot).
  • The BeyStadium Matrix has been updated.
  • Light Wheels are illegal (I would hope this would never be an issue, but just in case!)
  • Restricted Format has been dropped since it was used a grand total of zero times.
  • BeyPoints section was trimmed down due to changes.

This isn't the only literature being released, though. WBO Event Guide Release 2 is now available. This differs from the first release in that it actually has useful information in it. If you're interested in running a WBO event or simply want to see our methodology, be sure to give it a read. Specifically, it explains the addition of the new Event Proposals forum, which is for exactly what it sounds like. Smile

Speaking of forums, there's now a Bey News forum, which is ... again, exactly what it sounds like! We've not really had a formal place to put news like this before, instead choosing to spread it out across multiple topics. Well now you'll have all your Bey News in one place! And to make things even easier, we've made a News page for the entire site. Affiliate news, WBO news, Bey news, news about tournaments -- it'll all be in this one spot.

Don't forget about our upcoming tournaments! Check out the Upcoming Events tab on the homepage!

I think that's it for now, guys. I'll probably be making more small changes over the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled! Gooo SHOOT! Grin

Hopefully I will post a lot here too.

For the moment, there is a satisfying animation that shows how to remove some pieces of the Launcher Grip :
http://www.cybertigeranime.com/bbspirit/...erGrip.htm

Also, I sometimes try to write about the new beyblades. Obviously I do not know everything about them, so if you find something that you know is evidently wrong, I would appreciate if you could notify me about that, in a correct way. Do not necessarily go on a race to find mistakes, because I think I could add or remove a few things I wrote already.

Regarding the previous series of beyblades, you can tell me about mistakes there too, even though I could not rewrite the reviews for that matter.
Hey everyone,

The WBO has been down for almost an entire day due to a DDOS attack on our host. Simply put, our host was extorted and bombarded with requests of up to 4GB/s of data, causing the servers to crash. We've been moved to a more secure server now and there should be no data loss. Sorry about the inconvenience!

Possible Downtime

Due to unforeseen server maintenance there may be some sporadic downtime over the next day or so. We're not going anywhere, so just be patient Grin

Hey World Bladers.

I'm not too happy to be writing this, but unfortunately, cheating for BeyPoints has not ceased despite repeated warnings and constant efforts to police the system. We want this to be fair as possible to everyone, but we cannot keep constant tabs on all the cheaters, and a few bad apples can spoil the bunch. So, we're doing our best to keep things fair and fun, but we have to make some concessions.

Effective immediately, free battles are banned for most Bladers. This means that ranked battles only occur in tournaments/events that are approved by the WBO Committee. However, there is an exception: if you have a Blader Passport, you can continue to play the five free battles per month. Yes, this means both Bladers in the battle must have Blader Passports.

I hate to charge for this because I always wanted to keep it free, but the decision has nothing to do with funding. Simply put, cheaters won't pay. Furthermore, accounts that have Blader Passports are far more easily verified as authentic. We're keeping the five battle limit per two players so that the rankings don't become entirely unbalanced in favour of Passport holders.

For those of you that have Royal Faces or Face Booster BLACK Faces but not Blader Passports, I'll allow you to trade them in for a one year subscription for a Blader Passport if you'd like. I want to make this fair for everyone, and I'm really sorry that it's come to this.

The situation is a bit messier than that, though. The rules of the ranking system have changed so much since its original inception, and it was always thought of as a "beta" for the rankings. Now, to solidify the changes, all BeyPoint scores are going to be reset to 1000. Tournaments that have occurred after March 14, 2009 will be reprocessed. No free battles will be reprocessed. This is in order to make the rankings fair for everyone, including those coming in after these severe policy changes.

This was meant to be a surprise, but come the end of the summer the WBO will be undergoing an incredibly large software upgrade, custom-designed for us by one of the developers of MyBB, the software the WBO forum runs on. It will completely revamp the way BeyPoints and Faces are processed, for the better. Because the upgrade is coming so soon, this is the perfect time for us to make this transition. Bringing over all the old scores was a concern for us, but now it will be a lot easier.

Just to make sure this doesn't get messed up, we'll be suspending BeyPoint activity until the new system is complete, which is estimated late August. If Passport Holders still want to battle during this period, they're free to; keep track of the wins and losses and we'll take care of them once the new system is up. And of course, any events during this time will be processed chronologically once the new system is complete.

I know this is going to be a rough transition period for everyone, and I know you guys probably have a lot of questions, so feel free to ask away. We'll keep working hard to make the WBO a fun place for Bladers!
Hey World Bladers! I hope you like reading ...

We are making some huge changes to the BeyPoints System effective immediately.

The previous limit for battling the same Blader was ten times per week. We are drastically lowering that limit to five times PER MONTH. We are also lifting the "shield" over limited battles at meet-ups or before and after tournaments; only battles within a tournament will not count towards the limit.

Why are we doing this? There are a number of reasons, and you guys should know exactly why we are doing what we're doing. Lately, the rankings have been becoming incredibly skewed by Bladers battling the same Blader repeatedly in order to grind their BP up while pushing their opponent's down. This was never the original intention of the BP system and we see this as a disrespect of the WBO's goals. We allow Bladers to have Ranked BeyBattles outside of WBO tournaments because there simply aren't enough to go around right now -- which may change next year once MFB launches worldwide -- so we want to give those Bladers the chance to compete as well.

However, because some Bladers are continuously grinding, we are reducing the limit and making attempts to expand our tournament schedule for the second half of 2009 and early 2010. The idea is that BeyBattles in-between tournaments will allow Bladers to continue to improve while tournaments will be the main breeding ground for rankings. As it is now, BP is seriously inflated.

Beyblade is a casual game and it is not expected that Bladers rank the majority of their battles. At BWR, I played about 300 battles, with only 12 ranked. By playing with a large amount of Bladers I realized that the limit is just too high as it is and invites the grinding we have been seeing.

It is my hope that this change will seriously restore some balance to the rankings so that the most skilled Bladers move higher, rather than Bladers who can grind against the weakest players the most.

Now, to talk about finances. As you all know, I pay for the WBO mostly out of pocket. However, you guys have been absolutely awesome about donating, so I want you to know that I really appreciate that. However, we've found a more sustainable way to both make tournaments more viable and to increase money flow in the WBO so we can keep doing cool stuff (and do more, cooler stuff!)

We will now be asking that WBO tournaments charge a $5 entry fee to each Blader that enters a tournament (obviously there will be times where this is inappropriate, e.g. at a convention where there is already an entrance fee, but that is another issue). It will be the responsibility of the tournament director to forward this money to the WBO. To make this price easier for everyone to swallow, in addition to Faces, if the tournament itself does not have prizes, winners of tournaments will be entered into draws for Beyblade prizes. We will announce more information on this once we start getting more tournaments scheduled.

However, you can bypass these fees by subscribing to a Blader Passport. For $10 USD a year, you will be given unlimited entrance to WBO events, in addition to receiving the Passport Face.

Having a Blader Passport will also permit you entrance to premium contests. You can subscribe to a Blader Passport via Paypal, or you can purchase one at a WBO event. You can purchase your passport by clicking here!

To those of you have donated and received the Royal Face, we sincerely appreciate your support, and we want to show that by retiring the Royal Face. Now, everyone will know that the Royal Face was given to people who truly supported us when we needed it the most. So, thanks to all of you, truly. For you Royal Face holders, don't expect to be left out in the future.

To those of you who still want to donate even after subscribing to a Blader Passport ... well, you're an amazing person. And we want to allow you to continue being amazing, so we are still accepting donations. People who donate will now be awarded with Face Booster BLACK.

I'm glad I can finally start giving these out. As with the Royal Face, it will take a $10 donation to get one. However, unlike the Royal Face, you can collect multiple Faces from Face Booster BLACK. As always, you can Paypal donations to donate@worldbeyblade.org. However, I'd suggest investing in a Blader Passport first. Wink

I really want to settle any fears that I am making some sort of attempt to "sell out" here. I'm not. The fact of the matter is, the WBO is very expensive to me in terms of both time and money, and I have to do something to balance that out. Just keeping the website online costs me about $12 a month, and it's going up every month because we are gaining so much popularity. Then there is domain registration. There is a new programming development coming up that will cost us $125 (it's going to rule, though!). Much of BWR was paid for out of pocket -- $115 just for printing fliers and such -- and I'd love to be able to do more giveaways and such, so things like this are truly necessary in order for us to keep growing. We can all hope that Hasbro will decide to give us some love next year, but until then, I'm doing what I need to do.

I also want to offer stuff that is compelling to you guys so we can make money to keep cool stuff coming and also provide you guys with stuff you want. We've begun designing special Face Sticker sets that should be on sale by the end of the summer, for approximately $5 for six stickers. Before the year's end I would love to have a WBO DVD out as well. We're also talking about doing a calendar, but I get the feeling you guys would rather have DVDs and stickers and maybe posters or something. If there's something you guys would like to see us offering, tell us!

Please help us expand our tournament schedule! If you want to run a tournament in your area, contact us!

Finally, please welcome our newest committee member, Rocky! I'm sure it comes as no huge surprise, considering how much she's been up to recently, and I hope she'll continue to work hard for the WBO!

Also, everyone on the Committee is getting a Face Booster as a present of thanks from me ... Smile

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to post them! Go SHOOT!

BeyDay Afterthoughts

Hey World Bladers!

Thanks to everyone who made BeyDay a success! Beyblade War Room was absolutely fantastic, and you can check out the HIGH DEFINITION footage by clicking here! Make sure you check it out!

I'm still waiting on footage from Spinoff, but once I have it a video will go up as well! Most of the battles from BWR have been processed (which is why I actually have BeyPoints now!), and the ones from Spinoff, along with all the new Faces and such will be done over the next few days. There's a lot of work to be done and we're all doing our best, so please be patient!

As for the winner of the Storm Pegasis 105RF giveaway, I know you guys have been wondering about it, and the winner is BladeBee! Congratulations, enjoy this awesome new Beyblade set!

As for the photo contest, I'm still working on that ...

Takara-Tomy has confirmed via a press release that Hasbro will be going along with international development of Metal Fight Beyblade in 2010. So, we'll start seeing Beyblade worldwide next year! Wow! I can't really tell you how happy this makes me ... check this out for a heart-to-heart between myself and an old friend about the past, present and future of Beyblade.

We'd like to talk about BP-grinding; essentially, playing the same player over and over again and grinding their BP down while yours goes up. While there is no rule against this at this point, please know that it's in incredibly bad taste. We're currently working on restructuring the BP system to prevent this from happening in the future, so please stay tuned about that.

Now that I'm stocked up on MFB, expect lots of Beyblade videos and reviews coming soon! This is Bey Brad, signing off!
Just in time for BeyDay , the WBO's official rule book has been updated to release 5. You can download it here: http://worldbeyblade.org/wborules.pdf

In addition to that, anyone looking to host an event or just curious, the WBO Official Event Kit is available now! It's fairly empty, but it should be useful to anyone looking to host an event. Check it out here: http://worldbeyblade.org/wboeventkit.pdf

And finally, you can use these to keep track of your personal matches: http://worldbeyblade.org/wborecord.pdf

I have a lot to do to prepare for BeyDay, so this will be the last update until after that. Back to work!
Hi there.

I'm currently working on a large update for BeyUK.net. But I'm putting this to the large Bey community here.

My question is what do YOU want to see at BeyUK.net. Is there anything you want me to add. At the moment I'm updating the Game and Anime sections respectively. I'm open to idea's just so long as it is within my ability to do it.

Feel free to drop me any thoughts or ideas. We are always open to fan submitted work in regards to media and the game. I look forward to your ideas!

I know this is a bit short notice, but I wanted to all let you know that we're celebrating May 23 as BeyDay! How exciting, huh!?

Beyblade War Room @ Anime North 2009 will be taking place at the Renaissance Hotel in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, May 23! In addition, Beyblade Spinoff @ the MCM Expo will be taking place at ExCeL at the Royal Victoria Dock in London, England ... also on May 23!

However, we know a lot of our great members won't be able to join in on the fun. So, to make sure everyone gets to have a great time, May 23 will be BeyDay all around the world!

To celebrate, there will be no limits on ranked WBO BeyBattles for any Bladers on May 23! So battle to your heart's content! But that isn't all, of course.

We're having a contest! We want your help to share the message of the WBO and BeyDay with the world, and by doing so, you can win a free Storm Pegasis 105 RF, along with a Face Booster of your choice! Here's how you enter:

1. Download this video to your computer (don't worry, it's safe!):

BEY EASTER EGG HUNT BEGINS!

Hey everyone! It's time for the BEY EASTER EGG HUNT! Here are the rules!

There are four Beyblade eggs hidden around the site!

The first person to PM me and tell me where all four eggs are will be the winner! Please include the link to the page and a description of where you spotted it!

You won't find them in any posts or on the Beywiki. Anything else is fair game!

The first person to PM me the location of all four eggs will get their choice of any one of these:

If you're not the first person, it's not all bad! The next five people who PM me the locations of the four eggs will be entered in a random draw for a Face Booster of their choice as well! None of you better cheat, we'll find out! Don't tell anyone anything about where you found an egg!

3! 2! 1! Gooo HUNT!
Hey Bladers!

First things first: I'd like to thank everyone for their continuous donations! Particularly to theINtoy, who out of the blue sent us a donation recently! We'd talked about working together, but due to some miscommunications the talks dropped off. We're communicating again now and hopefully we can promote each other! So if you're a customer of theINtoy and would like to see us working with them, tell us!

Remember we can always use donations, and you'll get the ROYAL FACE for donating more than $10! Send your donations to donate@worldbeyblade.org via Paypal!

This Sunday we'll be having a special event, the BEY EASTER EGG HUNT! This Sunday, April 12, four special easter eggs will be hidden around the site!

The eggs will appear around the site on Sunday, April 12 at 17:00 UTC. Don't know what this means for where you live? Check it out here!

I just wanted to make sure everyone is prepared for this, so I'll be keeping this update rather short. Expect a larger update to come after the BEY EASTER EGG HUNT this Sunday! Have fun!

With the new anime already started, I think it is better to make a separate thread for these updates.

"Coinciding with the broadcast of the first episode of Metal Fight Beyblade, many things were added to the site:
- You can watch the opening and ending themes for the new season on the Videos page.

- The trailer for the second episode (titled "Leone's Fangs!"), the opening and the ending were uploaded on YouTube : http://www.youtube.com/user/MFBBSProject

- I have written the summary of the first episode.

- Voice Clips of the Japanese voices were added to the following profiles: Ginga Hagane, Kyouya Tategami, Benkei, Kenta Yumiya.

- A page for the story of Metal Fight Beyblade was created.

I will also try to make the new theme songs (mp3s) available somehow on Beyblade Spirit. Moreover, screenshots should be on the way.

Enjoy. "

Change in BeyPoints Policy

So, we'd received some complaints that the new BeyPoints policy of approving every single account was a bit complicated. I didn't really want to do it either, so we worked out a way to make it both fair and easy. Introducing BeyPoints Audits!

Well, it's sort of a sinister name, but it's not really. This way, only accounts that have been flagged as suspicious need to approve themselves. No more applying for groups! Read the help file here:

http://worldbeyblade.org/misc.php?action=help&hid=15
Well, I told you it was coming ... maybe it's about ten members late, but here it is anyway! In celebration of us hitting 1000 members, I am proud to present to you WBOV2!

So, isn't it beautiful? I wanted to create something that really embodied the feeling of Beyblade. Going back and forth between this layout and the old one, the old one feels really dull and lifeless by comparison. I hope you all enjoy the new look!

Aside from aesthetic changes though, there are some important things to discuss.

First of all, Release 4 of the WBO Rule Book is out now. It's a complete overhaul in structure and a lot of it has been rewritten with a lot of new rule additions, so make sure you read through the whole thing! One of the most exciting new additions is that ... yes, it's official!

Restricted Format is now available for Plastic and Heavy Metal System Beyblades! There is no restricted list available for MFB yet, but it's definitely something we are looking towards later on in the development of MFB. For now, I know a lot of you were clamoring for a final version of this, and now you have it.

I'll build on the feedback from this rule book release and we should hopefully be able to put out Release 5 before the end of May. This is moreso a "beta" version of the new rules format. Thanks for all of your contributions to this release, and I hope we can make the next one even better!

I know that I promised Tournament Kits for managing WBO events, and I'll be honest; they're not done yet. Expect to see them in the next month or so, so they can be ready to go out with Release 5 of the rule book.

Onto other stuff. The "World Battle System" is no more. Well, OK, it's the same thing, but it's been simply renamed "BeyPoints" on the menu. However, we do have an authorization system in place now to prevent cheating. You can read about how to do it here. Seriously, read it right now. I'll wait.

... done? OK, great! I imagine you're probably feeling quite conflicted right now. Let it be known that we are absolutely not trying to exclude anybody with this decision, but we figure that everyone at least knows someone with a digital camera or a member who's trusted in the community. We just want to keep the rankings fair for everyone, and this is a great way to do it.

For those of you already using BeyPoints, you'll have to do this process as well. I know a lot of the current users know some rather highly-trusted individuals in the community, so if you need to talk about it please send me a PM.

WBO Organized Play has its own section now! Jawesome! It's been split into WBO General and Official Events. The whole thing is pretty self-explanatory, so I'll leave you to it.

Speaking of events! For those of you living on the west coast, Vancouver Beyblade Summit has been confirmed! So if you're interested in hanging out with me and shooting spin tops and eating pizza (okay, no promises, but I wouldn't mind? It could be like a date) it might be worth your while to travel whatever egregious distance I'm sure you'd have to.

Don't forget about Beyblade War Room and Beyblade Spinoff! Both of these events are going full steam ahead!

A note to Aussies, we're working on getting something organized there, so post in this topic if you're living in Australia and love Beyblade!

I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but frankly I doubt most of you have read up until this point any way. I'm sure some flaws are going to pop up over the next few days, and for me nothing is ever really truly finished, so expect me to keep working on this stuff. However, the worst of it is over (thankfully!), so I hope you all enjoy the fruits of our labour.
