The Return
London, UK - 19 September 2015
After the first ever Burst tournament in the UK, it's time to start things up again. One more Metal Fight Beyblade will grace the bandstand of the Regent's Park. With it's little brother Burst joining in, this will be a action packed day, so keep your socks on! Things gonna get busy!
2015
LONDON
TWO FORMATS!?
Cos why not?
Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:00pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive for 11:30am. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.
After the MFB tournament is done, the Burst tournament shall follow, so keep that in mind when making arrangements for after the tournament.
Location:
Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand like ye olden days.
Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Head to the area marked Bandstand. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.
Tournament Format:
Standard MFB Format. We will be doing Round Robin, seeing as we have a small participant pool. But hey, more battles, more fun! Block Round Robin if we get over 12 participants, so be ready for either!
Not only that, Burst Format will follow afterwards, so be prepared.
Price:
Now, all participants must pay a £3 fee for one tournament. We accept cash only!
Please remember that there are two tournaments here, so £6 to play in both.
If you have a valid Blader Passport, entry is free to both! Blader Passports can be purchased on the day for £10 and last a whole year! Absolute bargain!
Prizes:
Sorry, no physical prizes this time, but credits and Face Boosters will be awarded! Do note that you will get even more credits and Faces due to the Burst tournament!
Hosts and Judges:
This tournament is being hosted by Manicben, somewhat of a veteran and tournament host. I have chosen xHB_SAUCEx and LeeDraciel (depending on numbers) to be judges this time round, due to their support and experience. If you have any queries, either here or on the day, feel free to PM Manicben or talk to one of us on the day, we would be happy to help!
Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than 12:10pm, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate.
Message from the Hosts:
Well, it's about time we start up monthly tournaments and with Blitz returning soon, we may have even more this month alone! Stay tuned on the Revival Thread or the new WBO UK Facebook Page for more info and tournament dates!

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page
Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.
2. Arrive On Time
You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.
3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings
We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!
4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours
This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!
5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called
Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!
6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions
All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

9. Terms of Service
All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.
Hopefully the weather is okay for you guys this weekend given the horrible weather we're all having this week, haha.
Since not many people from the Bursts onto the Scene event seem to be returning, I will instead give out bey logger inserts to people who attend more than 3 tournaments. This is to promote regular activity. A reward in a sense.

The UK scene is still thriving despite not having prizes at every event - it's not a huge deal. Manicben is doing a small, good thing which is just a bit of fun.
Good luck with this everyone! I'm glad that there are still regular events in the UK!
Plus large shipments are expensive due to customs fees... Kinda sucks to be in the UK.
But don't worry, we do have some ideas for prizes for later tournaments. It's a secret for now, but it shall all be clear in good time.
I was thinking of making a proposal for making a prize fund for London, but I think discussion in the Organisers Circle has ruled that out.

The thing about prizes is that the people who win them typically don't need them, except for vary rare parts or items, which are too expensive for us to justify purchasing.
We also have the Blader Rewards campaign, which has some frankly pretty amazing prizes available: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Credits-...d-Aug-2014
But sometimes I really wonder if the WBO does so much for people that expectations are inflated far beyond what's reasonable. We are not Takara-Tomy nor Hasbro. We are a fan-run, non-profit org that has managed to survive since 2008 and we've hosted a crazy number of events and tournaments worldwide since then.
Sometimes we can afford to be generous. Sometimes we can't. Right now is the latter — we are preparing for Burst's international launch and investing in things that we need to do to improve our site and the way we run events. And we generally reserve serious prizes for our annual marquee events.
Finally, I find the argument that prizes would attract more players to be pretty unfounded. I think the number of Bladers who are in the game in order to collect prizes is incredibly low. The reward the WBO offers is an environment where you can meet up with other Bladers and actually play competitive Beyblade, and be recognized for your skill.
This is something that, without the WBO, would actually be impossible.

Considering the burst event where we gave out free stuff had like 16 people whereas for this event we struggled to get 7 people for the event to happen I don't think it's completely unfounded.

You also have to factor most people that attended are now back to school, Uni etc i think that relates more than prizes. It the end of the day it falls down to the date and weather it works for each individual.
Best of luck beybladers~

Best of luck beybladers~
I'm sure we'll have something for December.
I'll have to keep an eye out then.

Yeah, I'll be in the U.K at the time ( Specifically Leeds, due to business affairs), though hey. I'd appreciate it if I can appear if possible if there is an event. If not I'll do what I can to appear in any future events.
Still best of luck to all those competing!
At Regent's Park!
Be there or be square!
To all I wish you the best of luck and no matter the winners or losers, may you all have a great day!
Show off your combos(the ones with banned parts are sure to make things rapidly interesting to be perfectly frank.) still, let your creativity and love for certain under-powered parts competing against those with an overwhelming combination!
I wish you all again, the best of luck. Enjoy the event and let it rip!
i will be there
