So, I am trying to get an event together for November 28th. How did the park work out @[Alta]? Do you think that it'll work out better than Emerald Knights?

No problem.
The park worked out just fine, though I'd probably choose a different park if we were to plan it at a park from the start. Emerald Knights is still okay, but I'd say parks are probably better, at least then you don't have to deal with getting a table reserved or anything else, and honestly I've grown less of a fondness for EK after a while.

I'm trying to get something together for the 28 of November. Here is the post:
The Arrow Strikes!
I personally feel that this could be the closest we could have, but if it seems that there could be a more consistent community and we can get it approved, feel free to do one beforehand.

I thought that discussion actually happened but couldn't find out where exactly...oh well
Though who knows, that date is after Black Friday so it is the cheap/crazy time of the year. So who knows it could be a chance that the date will actually be better suited for everyone on that day really. So only time can tell...
Hmph, i'm getting to involved with the positive side of the community, gotta staph that.
Alan found this vendor, are this blades legal for tournaments?
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Beyblade-...75837.html
Can you please send us a couple links where we can buys legal blades and parts?
Keep us posted on the next tournament, Alan is eager to participate again! let me know how I can assist to avoid what happened with Emerald Knights, btw I felt those guys where rude and uncaring to help so rather do a park or another place next time. They don't deserve our "free" publicity ....
Thanks

Those are fakes, unfortunately. Anything Rapidity is fake. Stick to Takara Tomy/SonoKong/Hasbro.

We need to have at least seven confirm before we can send it to Event Proposal. I'll briing it back up.
Consider me in...unless it's the same day as a tennesse event then no...
@[Alta], was there any shelter there or was it just open field that everyone played on? I know it could be cold and possibly even raining. I want to put the event where it is convenient for everyone to get there without much hassle, but also has shelter. We need a bit more consistency in where our events are held.

Burbank, more precisely here
Do you think the next tournament could be held closer to the Orange County area? I'm sure that there are more than few Bladers such as myself in the OC area that are just a little too far away...

There was some shelter I think, but we mostly played in the grass because if you play on cement you'll definitely end up with KO's and parts getting damaged on the hard ground, but I didn't look around the park too much, so there might have been more sheltered areas.
I'll see if I can't find any parks that would have a great area to hold events in but still have some shelter and preferably not cement floor, something like the shelter area in High Park that Toronto bladers play in often.

Since there is no thread for it in the Official Events forum, unfortunately it is not happening. I can also say that nobody ever submitted a proposal for it, so it was far from happening.
oh bummer. I was looking forward to it. Its all good though!
