Also the thing is that this entire season is about bringing back characters, so why would they introduce a new one?
Also you've almost completely misunderstood what I said. Shu said Lain needing improving in alot of aspects and Lain took that as if Shu said he was a trash blader. He trianed hard and gained flare which is making him go crazy, the end. Lui doesn't even teach ppl so idk where you got dat form.
"Shu's always been a mentor to people with potential. Also he doesn't gain a jacket from mentoring Lain but I don't feel like explaining why again."
And when did I say that Shu only gains the new jacket because he mentored Lean? I think you've assumed that I said that Shu got the new jacket for training Lean when I said "Like I understand that the new jacket has some importance, but was it required that Shu took the role of mentoring Lean and by proxy, gain the new jacket?", and admittedly I could've worded it better but what I meant was that anyone who might've ended up taking Shu's role in the Sparking anime (mentoring Lean) would've ended up getting the jacket plot line too. You've even said "If Rantaro went hostile he would get a clothing change too." which I do agree with.
However, my question is why was it Shu of all people that they've chosen? What is it about Shu that required him to take the role as Lean's mentor in the anime, that no one else could take? What about the story would've been damaged, if they had chosen another character to mentor him instead of Shu?
"Also you've almost completely misunderstood what I said. Shu said Lain needing improving in alot of aspects and Lain took that as if Shu said he was a trash blader. He trianed hard and gained flare which is making him go crazy, the end. Lui doesn't even teach ppl so idk where you got dat form."
Remember when you said this, in the thread linked here: "During training with Shu Lain was a newbie and Shu was being kinda overly harsh on Lain. Lain took the stuff to heart and thought he deserved it cause he was a weak wimp and wanted to get stronger. After that he basically did intense training, developed flare which we know makes bladers stronger the more they win, and became hostile. Anyways Shu tries to stop Lain and later notices its actually all his fault."
Now here's what I said here: "From what I remember, you said that Lean is the way he is because Shu was too strict and harsh towards him in the manga which hardened him as a blader."
Where's the misunderstanding here? What I've said was fairly accurate to what you've said before, back when you were explaining the manga version of the events with Lean's backstory. I've said that Shu was harsh, which is what you've just said. I've also said that Lean became hardened as a blader, and whilst you didn't exactly describe it like that word for word, you said that he took Shu's simple criticisms to heart and used it as a drive to become stronger and develop flare which means he did become a hardened blader.
I'll admit that Lui probably wasn't the best choice as a potential candidate as Lean's mentor, but it's not completely out of the ordinary to have him mentor a blader later on. He could've done it simply to satisfy his needs to fight strong opponents, by training Lean into a seasoned blader so that one day he could face his disciple himself. If not Lui, then how about Free? He's mentored a few bladers before, like Valt and Shasa. And despite being mostly a composed character, Free can be very critical of other bladers' skills so it's not hard to believe that Lean would've taken his words to heart too, had Free mentored him instead of Shu.
tl;dr - It's a pretty big response, so bear with me here lol.
Anyways, I think I've derailed this thread and went off-topic so I apologise for that. The point is, I think Shu gets way too much focus now and I hope his focus gets dialled back in the next season (if he ever appears at all) and focuses on a new set of characters more instead.

Ah ok bad wording problems me understand.
From the way you said it it looked as if you were implying Shu actually insulted Lain when he just said you gotta improve [x] and [y] and get your [z] together.
Free doesn't really train people. I never remember him mentoring Sasha, however he respected her feeling about wanting the team to stick together and that they can't have some kid that jumps back and forth. As for Valt Free just let Valt battle him alot and Valt gained new things from battling him, Free never directly taught Valt, however just let him battle him in turn making Valt grow.
As for the Lui idea its aight but I don't really see why Lui would waste the time to do that tbh. He's the type to hunt for strong people, I don't think he'll make a strong person to fight tbh.

I do hope different beys represent different motif, like God, Chou-z, GT beys. Sparking just talk about sun and flare.
Why the give us Uranus is the First sun and Lucifer as the Evil sun concept, they are not related to sun.

Who will empathize with 18 years old character?
Main character and character around him should be among 6-12 years old.
