Yes it is, usually Spriggan names stay the same (Except Cho Z Spriggan)

Also aren't the people and studios who are responsible for the English dub the ones who change the names of Beys and characters? I think it isn't Hasbro itself who is changing the names. Because if they were the makers of the english version of the anime, then the Beys would most likely look like their own ones and we even may have gotten some Hasbro exclusive Beys like Kraken, Ogre and Morrigna in the anime. But Hasbro is only responsible for the products. So think.

Pretty sure this is backwards. Since usually beyblade names show up first in listings or the app before the anime dub. So if Hasbro isn't actually the ones handling the dub, then it wouldn't change the fact that the dub still uses the Hasbro renames.

ADK and the anime producers come up with the names, Hasbro just makes the toys.

Salvage on the other hand...I sorta understand why they didn't want to go with Savior (but in that case why did they keep Lord as it is?), but why note Saber, Sabre or literally any other name? Just, why?

I can kinda see why they kept Lord lord because Lord doesn't just mean what you're referring to. What Google Says: Meaning 1. someone or something having power, authority, or influence; a master or ruler. Meaning 2. used in exclamations expressing surprise or worry, or for emphasis. There are other meanings but I'm too lazy to go over more, I guess the same argument could be made for Savior Valkyrie since Savior has other names but it's mainly referred to what your referencing to.
Dub just does coinnflips tbh, since they also change the names of beys that really didn't need to be, but kept Genesis and Apocalypse's original names.

I believe salvage was chosen instead of savior because of the implications of savior and religion (Hasbro has a history with avoiding names that pertain to religion). Also salvage means to rescue sort of like what a savior does so that’s why salvage instead of savior.

I hate it when companies over americanize everything 😭

RE: Hasbro's Beyblade Burst – Out in Canada and Australia, international launch 2017 - DeltaZakuro - Aug. 31, 2021

Not everything needs to be religious sounding even by Hasbros low standards. If that's what Hasbro worries about then why change Variant to Vex but not change Curse.

Yes, Salvage in a sense can mean to save something or someone but why not Salvation which sounds similar and has a similar meaning in sorts.

Ya know what, they should've just went with Saber and called it a day.

edit but also a TLDR: Religion has no place in Beyblade so why not keep it that way?

Probably because Hasbro wants more sales and wants more people to buy their products but, if they keep names that offend certain groups of people they could get sued and less people will buy there products, it's actually the perfect business plan if you ask me.

Funny how Union had good slopes while Infinite just got done dirty.. At least 1B-D exists. i also find it funny that TT 1B is slightly lighter than the entire stock for Hasbro's Infinite.

Well, Genesis and Apocalypse really doesn’t have an association with religion. Genesis is a beginning simply put while apocalypse is the end of the world.

Just because a religious book is called Genesis doesn’t mean the word has itself attached to the religion. (Now I know that ypu’re about to say the same about savior, but savior as a term really started in religion and mythology, Genesis on the other hand is considered more of a scientific term)

Kind of the same with savior. It doesn’t necessarily have to have the religious meaning.

But it's mostly referred to religion

Zankye made a video and DeltaZakuro's least favorite Bey, though seriously Hasbro, you couldn't have kept the Dual Spin Ability?

They could've done a left world with the ACTUAL paint job an just use 0 and yellow bump frame with a regular Unite driver

well it keeps the dual spin, its just not proper and its lazily done. and it has kinda grown on me in terms of its color scheme (which is really why i hated it, it just looked ugly)

Ugly isn't the right word for it, more like an accident that happened on the High Way

Not for everyone. Savior means exactly what it sounds like. Someone who saves another person from some kind of trouble. I see how you would think that based on what it means in the Christian religion.

Yeah, honestly, Hasbro's being way too careful these days, Satomb had a good reason to be translated because of the meaning behind its JAP name but Volcano to Blazebringer? There's no good reason why not to keep it the same, though Volcanoes can cause massive damage they didn't change Apocalypse and Apocalypse literally means the End Of The World! Nothing's left everything's destroyed, you can keep that but not Dynamite or Volcano? Hasbro, you make my brain hurt.
