Beyblade Spinoff: UK Revolution - BeyUK-Espio - Jan. 20, 2009

NEW THREAD FOR THIS EVENT IS HERE: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-IMPORTANT-SPINOFF-IS-BACK-ON-D

Brad has allowed me to make a further topic so as I can organise this tournament as the others haven't posted in the thread for some time.

Below is what we have already, I have added in dates and what not for further info:

Location:
ExCeL
Royal Victoria Dock
London,
E16 1XL, UK

Date/time:
23rd - 24th May 2009 (the weekend of the London MCM Expo)
The time is to still be arranged

Your hosts:
ChozenBlader
TheGigsMeister (not sure)

Judges:
Blitz
revertedtozero

Tournament setup:
The tournament will be purely MFB entrants only. We want to help push the franchise and get people back into Beyblade.

The tournament will use the Modified Round Robin System so as to adhere by the WBO rules and regulations. For information regarding the Round Robin format please refer to page 8 of the WBO Rules Guide. Click here to view the document (click open to open the document in your browser or save to save it to your computer). All additional rules including Battle Rules, General Rules will be followed at all times. In the case of a Bearing track/bottom being released for the MFB, Zombie customizations will be banned.

If a Beyblade is broken during battles, the person with the broken blade gets an instant loss. However, I must stress not to purposely try to break your opponents blade.

I urge all people to bring along a WBO certified Beystadium. For a list of regulated stadiums, please see page 2 of the WBO Rules Guide. Click here to view the document (click open to open the document in your browser or save to save it to your computer). The card stadium walls that get shipped with the stadiums will be enforced as we will be competing in a very busy and open area. So to prevent damage or injury the walls will be used.

Banned

May The Pirate

NOTE: Anybody that has been banned from the forum will not be welcomed at the tournament/event. You can turn up to the expo but entry into the tournament will be not allowed.

If you wish to turn up for this event this just PM and I will add you to the list. This also applies if you know any of your friends that would be interested.

Additional Information

I may also be looking into allowing free battles for those that persist on wanting to use play with the old generation plastic and HMS tops. However, I stress that the MFB would be the center attraction. So my full focus would be on the tournament.

There may or may not be an entrance fee. I would like to assume that there won't be one. But this all depends on the situation. If we do impose an entrance fee then it won't be outragous. The entrance fee, if imposed, will be used to pay for the prizes that will be bought.

*NEW* We are still looking for judges for this event. If we get everybody that will turn up then we will need more than two judges. The judges will not be able to enter the tournament unless something can be arranged. For example, I can be a temp judge. If I'm not battling then I will be able to judge the judges battle if you get what I mean. *NEW*

*NEW* I won't be selling Metal Fight Beyblade products as I will be classed as a dealer. However, I can advise you to buy some products from theINtoy.co.uk prior to the event. *NEW*

If any further information is added then I will update this post.

If you have any further questions then please post them in this forum and I will aim to answer them as soon as possible.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Rocky - Jan. 20, 2009

EDIT: Deleted previous stuffs so as not to repeat. Smile

I am loving the new name btw. Cool

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - BeyUK-Espio - Jan. 20, 2009

OK, I have updated it. Cheers for the help. Could I rely on you to help out with the attendance list. If it does change then just PM me the changed status for people, only if you don't mind of course.

Is everybody OK with the edits to the rules etc? We also needed a definate date. I had to go with the MCM because I wouldn't be able to turn up for the JapanEx. I'm also working on a draft logo design. Kai-V, you know what to expect lol. It won't be anything too insane.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - Jan. 20, 2009

DAMN

didn't realize the turnout was so big!

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Rocky - Jan. 20, 2009

No problem. Smile

And the rule change sounds great. I can't remember what it was before but this way, even if I totally fail, I still get a load of battles. XD

Insane or not, I will be ready.

This is why I really want to push this tournament. Regardless of whether we get a stand inside the expo, it will be held out side on a big area of green or somewhere close to the entrance.

I want this to be successful as this is the only way forward for Beyblade at the moment. We need to push MFB through in the UK and the rest of the world as early as possible.

Here is the first draft. It is only really basic to start with and I want to really stay with the simple text and silohette design. This is probably as basic as it can get lol. I can still play with the text and colour. Any font suggestions are welcome and designs mods are to. The usual applies to all my artwork, all critisism is welcome, good or bad as long as it is constructive.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Rocky - Jan. 20, 2009

That would look smexy on a T-Shirt.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - KidTala - Jan. 20, 2009

So we are not doing HMS anymore?

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - BeyUK-Espio - Jan. 20, 2009

Not in the tournament. But I am considering the free battle option. Battle points can be attained through both however. The tournament is used to promote the MFB products.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Rocky - Jan. 20, 2009

I wonder if many people will drop out because of that? Unhappy

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - GBB-Shadow - Jan. 20, 2009

I'll go but only on a sat. Dunno what time exactly.
Gonna have to be a pain but can i borrow one of your MFB?

TBH, the MFB aren't that expensive. As I have said, I may be selling MFB there so people would have no excuse not to enter. People would also have money with them to spend as well. As said previous, there may still be free battles where HMS and plastic will be allowed. But the tournament and MFB is my main priority.

Also, if everybody where to save some pocket money then they would be able to buy at least one blade prior to or on the day.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - RevertedToZero - Jan. 20, 2009

If i make it, can i be a judge and help with the filming of the thing, if brad has enough cameras, that is?

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - BeyUK-Espio - Jan. 20, 2009

Brad won't be there. Brad lives in the US lol. But if you want to be a judge and film then that would excellent. Will you not be entering the tournament?

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Rocky - Jan. 20, 2009

XD I don't think Brad'll be sending over cameras to us. Though there will probably be some cameras there.

Lol. Espio beat me.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - Jan. 20, 2009

I live in Canada!

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - BeyUK-Espio - Jan. 20, 2009

Canada it is then. Do you think you can send me camera's Brad lol?

I will take pictures if I can. I should be able to.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - Jan. 20, 2009

No, I can't send you cameras.

The convention may be able to lend you some.

Mate, I was joking. I weren't expecting you to send cameras. If anybody wants to record then you will need to provide your own equipment.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Blitz - Jan. 20, 2009

This sounds great, Like that it's focusing on MFB now.
Hopefully I'll still be able to take part in the tournament & be a judge, but see how it goes Grin

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Neeek - Jan. 20, 2009

yes, finally! we're getting somewere now.
you can put member 'samax2000' down on the attendance list. he's my cousin and should be getting MFBs by then

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - BeyUK-Espio - Jan. 20, 2009

Cheers guys. I have added your cousin to the list. We really needed to push things along because if we waited then who knows.

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Bey Brad - Jan. 21, 2009

For all intents and purposes, this event should be called "Beyblade Spinoff"

if people see this in the programming guide simply named "Spinoff" nobody will know what the hell it is

RE: Spinoff 2009: UK Revolution - Blitz - Jan. 21, 2009

My Sister will def be coming and she will also be taking part in the tournament Grin
