RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Nov. 06, 2011

Its a really good sig. You may put a text at the right parts.

You used GIMP for this no? If yes, then it is because of the unnecessary sparks brushes floating around here and there. Well to get to the point, it feels a bit too plain. The smudging is also plain. Don't just click and drag. Try click. Then drag. Then click again and so on and so forth. The lighting is also a bit off. Blending could use a tiny bit of more work.

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Nov. 06, 2011

what's funny is that I just click, and then drag.

How can I make those bubbly smudge thing(or is it bubbly?), like the one in taj's sig

RE: General GFX Thread - BeybladerPotter - Nov. 06, 2011

Hm...........The settings for the bubbly(?) smudge thingy you're saying is only applicable to PS I think.........Hm...I just suggest using the vine brush (it's a default) and smudge around the sides first on 75% rate and go on to 90% once you're going smudge the insides.

RE: General GFX Thread - Whatzzer - Nov. 06, 2011

Bubbly?Unless GIMP has a brush preset,I can PM the presets to you.I used the presets when I smudge with CS5

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Nov. 06, 2011

I know how to download them to GIMP. Sure, PM me some

RE: General GFX Thread - Destruction - Nov. 06, 2011

Can Anyone send me some grunge brushes my brushes suck

RE: General GFX Thread - Kai-V - Nov. 06, 2011

Grunge is really easy to do without brushes.

RE: General GFX Thread - Gripsocks - Nov. 06, 2011

I think everyone should follow this rule.
Before you ask a question, think, could I find this if I just googled it myself.

dude, you have to click the pic. Theres another window that will open and the render will be there.
Dont download it directly from the page, you have to click the pic

Planet renders is down.

What do you mean? Care to point it out via MS paint? If you mean the blue things on the right side, its a C4D Render. If you mean the white stuff on the actual focal, it was the actual render.
Jut while we're on the topic of my sig, I'd really like it if Gripsocks CnC'ed my sig.

RE: General GFX Thread - DynaZord - Nov. 07, 2011

For some extra practice (I'm still trying to learn Photoshop to the best of my abilities) I followed a tut: http://www.guildinn.com/forum/intermediate/5725-stock-c4d-tutorial.html
[Image: di-4TQT.png]
CnC, please. Also, if you say something about the right corner (or side, really) being too bright, I know. I tried using the burn tool, and that didn't work as well as I had hoped...
So, yeah, CnC, please. I personally dislike how the tut called for so many C4D's (Yes, I know it's a Stock C4D tut, but still, C4D's kinda annoy me Tongue_out )

RE: General GFX Thread - Gripsocks - Nov. 07, 2011

You need to find better tutorials Tongue_out
It's easy to surf through dA to find good ones.

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Nov. 07, 2011

Taj ikr? Damn, i was hoping to get some renders.

@Coaster the render is "unseen". Try to give it more space.

I should really get photoshop right away. GIMP is killing me like hell(atleast it gives me decent sigs)

RE: General GFX Thread - BeybladerPotter - Nov. 07, 2011

^I'm angry. Lol. Jokes. GIMP can beat PS sigs you know. You just have to try harder and look for better tutorials. I'm actually going to update my GIMP today.

Just have to work 10 times harder to produce the same effect...

RE: General GFX Thread - Gripsocks - Nov. 07, 2011

I'm sorry but anyone says there is a program that can beat Photoshop or Illustrator is a deluded.

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Nov. 07, 2011

I see their the same anyway. It's just I was too connected with photoshop.

RE: General GFX Thread - BeybladerPotter - Nov. 07, 2011

If you try hard enough, I believe, in my honest opinion, you can. It is like life. It is not as if writing your essay on a different kind of paper will change what grade you'll get nor will using another pen to write your essay will get you a higher grade but this - is entirely my opinion. Feel free to think whatever you want but I, however, truly believe that even with the weakest of the weakest of GFX programs, you can produce quality work.

CnC's?Try and compare the best of CS5 Graphic and the best of GIMP Graphic, then you will understand that CS5 is better than GIMP.Can we stop the best program topic?First time using C4D's any tips?

RE: General GFX Thread - Gripsocks - Nov. 07, 2011

What exactly did you do with the C4D, besides place it?

RE: General GFX Thread - Whatzzer - Nov. 07, 2011

Linear Dodge? It has a tif. formatwhen I opened it,it was all black.I don't get it.

RE: General GFX Thread - Wolverine Mode - Nov. 07, 2011

For people wondering , on how to remove a black background from a c4d then it should have an alpha channel. Go to channels > select the alpha channel (Not click) and then just copy paste Smile.

RE: General GFX Thread - MetalStrike - Nov. 07, 2011

So here are a few pieces I was working on.

'Dunamis got smudged':

^there was a Dunamis' picture in the BG, which is now a smudge BG. lul

A smudge-focused signature:

Oh yeah, and two LP smudges:

RE: General GFX Thread - Gripsocks - Nov. 07, 2011

this is the last time I'm going to say this.

you do not cover a render to the point where it is not the focal anymore, you do not have 2 focals, and you do not move attention away from your focal.

Smile kthnxbai.
