I thought you were learning how to use PS and make your own sigs? Why don’t you render your own pictures? It’ll be good practice.

I am learning but I dont know how to make renders oh and I use gimp

RE: General GFX Thread - Vintage - Sep. 04, 2011

There are plenty of GIMP tutorials on how to render images. You just gotta look for them.

RE: General GFX Thread - NoodooSoup - Sep. 04, 2011

I just use Photoshop tutorials and do them in GIMP. Not too different. Tongue_out

RE: General GFX Thread - BeybladerPotter - Sep. 04, 2011

Wait, Noodoo uses GIMP?? Since when-? I thought it was Paint.net. Anyways, I'll be receiving a link for PS soon from a friend.

Attention to all GFX makers! You may wanna join the official 2nd graphics tournament hosted by me and DeX. If so, hurry up!

RE: General GFX Thread - Xyo - Sep. 04, 2011

Thanks for the render Vintage

wasn't too serious with making this Uncertain

RE: General GFX Thread - NoodooSoup - Sep. 04, 2011

I changed to GIMP like last month Tongue_out

RE: General GFX Thread - Xyo - Sep. 04, 2011

Could i have the link too BP?

RE: General GFX Thread - Kai-V - Sep. 04, 2011

Do you really need tutorials on how to render images ? Just take the eraser tool and do the work ... What is there to really learn ?

RE: General GFX Thread - Vintage - Sep. 04, 2011

^He may be wanting to find a more precise method for him?

Also, has anyone else thought that there's been a huge kind of movement in the Your Creations forum lately? I've noticed a lot more stories, and many people are taking up graphics. o.o

RE: General GFX Thread - Kai-V - Sep. 04, 2011

Is there really a method that is more precise than basically erasing every single pixel you want to see gone ... You start with a big eraser, and you gradually lower its size to do the finest parts of the background you want to remove.

LOL. Must be influential. I, myself, have started graphics out of influence.

RE: General GFX Thread - Vintage - Sep. 04, 2011

Well, I use the pen tool, which is very precise. The pen tool, eraser tool and the lasso tool all can get down to the 1px borders very precisely, but my problem with the other two is that I don't have a steady hand to use the eraser tool, and I end up undoing every little mistake.... and I just can't get used to the lasso tool for some reason. Tired

Do multiple clicks, do not try to do it all in just a few, long clicks.

RE: General GFX Thread - NoodooSoup - Sep. 04, 2011

I do hope these people taking up graphics are doing it for the fun or to learn a skill, rather than because it's the "in" thing.

RE: General GFX Thread - Sparta - Sep. 04, 2011

Riiiiiight, because we're so "hip" on a beyblade website, making "tight" images on programs-usually about beyblades.

You're on an anime site. Absolutely nothing is hip.

Made this one the other day. An improvement to my Itsuki one?

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Sep. 04, 2011

The first time i did GFX was because it was 'in'

sigh, making sigs for people is starting to be a pain Speechless

RE: General GFX Thread - Fyuuor - Sep. 04, 2011

Ha, that's how I feel about making sigs for people. That's one of the many reasons I rarely perform requests.

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Sep. 04, 2011

no wonder Uncertain I haven't seen you make a sig shop before :0

anyways, how can i make a vector sig? what is a vector sig anyways?

RE: General GFX Thread - CyberBlader27 - Sep. 04, 2011

Okay, so I want to start doing some GFXing, so two questions:
1. What program do you guys recommend?
2. What is base size of sigs?
I mostly do spriting (non-pokemon), so I use Multimedia Fusion 2 (a game making software)'s sprite editor, which is very limited, hense question 1.

RE: General GFX Thread - Synth - Sep. 04, 2011

1. Photoshop CS2-5. But if you want it free, then use GIMP
2. It is up to you. 500x150 is the best i recommend you

Thanks. How much would Photoshop CS2-5 cost?

RE: General GFX Thread - SyTric XZ - Sep. 04, 2011

comments?

RE: General GFX Thread - NoodooSoup - Sep. 04, 2011

I'm not sure if you can purchase it, Cyber. I think only CS5 is available to buy, and Elements. CS5 is around 600-900 USD.

RE: General GFX Thread - MetalStrike - Sep. 04, 2011
