RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - LeonTempest - May. 31, 2012 Honestly, if we look at some of the current stadiums, while some aspects may be off (like the stamina centers) alot of the desired slopes are kind of there, and do exist, (or atleast it is close) but it means nothing if an attack type can't do what an attack type does, and KO. With these new box-like stadiums, if the desired slope can be achieved, I will have no real complaints. I am just happy that the community was able to find alternatives for attack in Hasbro stadiums to a certain extent... Honestly, I stopped trying to understand why Hasbro Metal Fury beys are the way they are...I am sure there is a reason, and we may not be able to ever understand it, or even know what it is, but a reason still exists. I can assure you all, Hasbro is in the business of making money, not to make our lives miserable. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Hazel - May. 31, 2012 (May. 31, 2012 9:32 PM)Slee Wrote: Hasbro made circular arenas during plastics, and from what I remember, there were a whole lot of them. Sure, some had horrible gimmicks, but it was pretty darn close to what we want now. I never really understood why hasbro switched to two pockets and the odd shpe, and then to this square one with absolutely no pockets after making two with no pockets, and looked like bedpans. As "fun" and "extreme" as these stadiums can be, it would be nice to have a cheaper alternative to importing a TT beystadium. I own one of the Hasbro Plastics Stadia, and they are barely different in any regard at all from most of the Metal Masters ones, save maybe for the number of pockets, which is irrelevant. The bowl curviture has always been terrible. The pockets have always been too shallow and too close to the action. Take off the rose-tinted glasses. These square ones, at least from what we can see, have a much more pleasant looking bowl, and one of them definitely has a Tornado Ridge in it. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - LeonTempest - May. 31, 2012 Thread got un-stickied again, haha If I am going to take a risk on buying a Metal Fury product before it is reviewed by someone else (like the Metal Fury wheels), it will be these new stadiums. The shape does seem good enough, but hopefully it isn't as small as the Mobile Stadium, which did have potential for Hasbro meta, but is way to under-tested right now... RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Dracomageat - Jun. 01, 2012 The mobile stadium is increadibly hard to get two beys successfully launched into at the same time. The slightest slip up and you're bouncing around the outer pocket area losing all stamina. Actually, a couple of their earliest offerings were pretty much just early takara stadiums with walls and pockets instead of exits. No, they don't stand up to today's stadiums, but they do compare decently to the takara stadia from the same period. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - BEYDEXTER - Jun. 02, 2012 Alright if hasbro can't make circular stadiums bcz of rights Then they should make stadiums octagonal and place four walls and four exits if they can't make exits bcz of safety make pockets but somewhat bigger Slope and tornado ridge same as tt Or Keep stadiums square. make four walls on place of corners and four exits on place of sides Slope and tornado ridge same as tt That will be very much similar to what we want. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - th!nk - Jun. 02, 2012 You can say they should make them dodecahedrons and it wouldn't make even a bit of difference. We've already suggested designs to them that they would be able to do, with pockets that would act exactly like exits. Some believe that led to Lightning Force and MXS v1 being slightly better than previous stadia, personally, I think even that was merely a coincidence. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Kai-V - Jun. 02, 2012 If Hasbro really considered the community's suggestions, then right now they would be stopping their project and correcting the Metal Fury products so they resemble TAKARA-TOMY's more. Seriously, even their Facebook Page was SPAMmed by kids who were angry at their decision and swearing and insulting them; kids who had not even been influenced by the generally negative reactions here. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - BEYDEXTER - Jun. 02, 2012 Well I like the stadiums suggested by kai v Its like a tt with the fence RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - sarabscientist - Jun. 02, 2012 (Jun. 02, 2012 4:28 AM)Kai-V Wrote: Seriously, even their Facebook Page was SPAMmed by kids who were angry at their decision and swearing and insulting them; kids who had not even been influenced by the generally negative reactions here. Thats my new hobby. But they never respond to anything people post... Hasbro's stadia with walls is just to enforce safety and make money...they couldn't care less about competitive play. In the end, when the stock markets close...its not about whether Vari Aries beat Twisted Tempo or not...its about how much money they made. As long as parents keep buying from a trusted, brand name toy company...Hasbro is happy. I think going on strike might make them realize something...but obviously that is never going to happen. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Hazel - Jun. 02, 2012 (Jun. 02, 2012 4:28 AM)Kai-V Wrote: If Hasbro really considered the community's suggestions, then right now they would be stopping their project and correcting the Metal Fury products so they resemble TAKARA-TOMY's more. Seriously, even their Facebook Page was SPAMmed by kids who were angry at their decision and swearing and insulting them; kids who had not even been influenced by the generally negative reactions here. Do you really think they have not already started their production run? Do you think that it would be anything resembling profitable, at this juncture, for them to throw away vast sums of money they have spent working on this, and on the production itself? It is already blatantly obvious that they did this to save money and make profit in the first place, because of the prices and face-offs and so forth, so you are proposing that they just discard a year or more of work, God knows how many actual physical items, all to... sell things for less(or no) profit? By the time you were capable of making this complaint, it was already completely impossible, but at any juncture, your suggestion is not based in any facet of reality. Furthermore, let me address "listening to the community": the community is children. Businesses, by and large, are not swayed by the machinations of kids throwing temper tantrums - especially tantrums over things which they have not even been exposed to yet as anything but an idea(and tantrums thrown on Facebook, of all places). Absolutely no one is going to listen to a bunch of children swearing and yelling over products that are not out in the public. Also, I'm just going to say this: anyone who is actually mad about the Metal Fury redesigns is someone who has been exposed to TT products, and more than likely the exact same negative attitude present here. Honestly, I'd really rather not have to continue defending Hasbro, but you guys seem to be incapable of comprehending that there are reasons for things, and that your inability to get a solid hold on them is of no consequence to their legitimacy. This is a massive corporation, not some fly by night business constructed by children with no idea what they're doing. What really keeps bringing me back to post here, though, is just the outright incorrect accusations, implications, and fallible suggestions for "solutions". If you're going to complain, be honest: you're mad because things are different than they originally were, and that is the only ground(save for a few missing tracks that may yet be released) you have to stand on right now. Do not paint them out to be a demonic force harvesting the tears of children on Facebook, releasing products only out of spite. Most especially, though, the implication that any company anywhere would yield to some facebook whining about their already-established, planned, and running production line, save for serious health and safety risks, is just... naive. EDIT: Vortex-S, if you have any idea in your head that TT, SonoKong, and pretty much every other toy company out there is out for anything but their own pockets, abolish it. TT releases products their way because safety regulations allow it, and because their culture is generally just more friendly toward competitive gaming for children. You cannot compare two cultures completely out of any context and expect to be right about anything. Toys are a much bigger deal in Asian countries, in general, but all of the companies are just out for a fistful of dollars and a slap on the rump. Nothing more. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - 50uNdW4v3 - Jun. 02, 2012 ...................... RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Kai-V - Jun. 03, 2012 Hazel, you are taking comments way out of proportion. I am not even going to bother rewriting everything I have already posted, which came from both sides of the arguement. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Hazel - Jun. 03, 2012 I am seeing the exact same things said over and over again, constantly, by pretty much the same group of people. There are individuals here who will, at the first sign of Hasbro possibly doing something conceivably competitively viable or interesting, start throwing around old incidents again(and in this case, "old incidents" being things that still have not hit any market anywhere). There are other individuals who will just outright sling mud at anything that they release, period. There's expressing opinions, which is fine, and then there is what I am talking about, which is reasonably far from it. These people are also souring things for others, too. Consider my post an official response to the months of this garbage that I have gone fairly silent about, if you must. I have stopped myself from replying to this thread, in earnest, for quite a long time now almost entirely because of it. It seems almost as if people want to wage war against anyone being excited about or interested in Hasbro products, and that is not okay. I have read every single post you have made in this thread since I joined. I was responding, in the first half of my post at least, directly to exactly what you wrote in the quoted post. It seemed highly unnecessary to chastise Hasbro for not accepting suggestions made long after they could've had any influence on anything. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Kai-V - Jun. 03, 2012 You did not understand my post then, which had this meaning : Hasbro is actually not particularly considering the community's opinions, and, as such, if any changes were made that went in the same way as what "the community" wants, it would be a coincidence. I am certain that you can agree with that. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Hazel - Jun. 03, 2012 Obviously - but there is no way anyone could've suggested anything relevant to Metal Fury, because nothing was known about it, at all, until it was too late. We simply assumed it would be released as normal, outside of an extremely shady rumor with absolutely no confirmation anywhere around it(that also likely originated after it was too late for suggestions to help). Stadia are the only thing that it would really apply to, aside from maybe re-releasing Launcher Grips. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Thunder Dome - Jun. 03, 2012 Can we get back on topic now? Destroyer really does look pretty nice. I am not typically fond of Herculeo, but it is also not bad. I still need to find the spare coin to pick a few of those up, actually... I just wish they would release a Thermal Lacerta. RE: BEYBLADE: Metal Fusion/Metal Masters/Metal Fury [HOBBY] - Thunder Dome - Jun. 03, 2012 (Jun. 03, 2012 2:32 AM)Hazel Wrote:I'm really sorry Hazel.
