That was pretty harsh, dude...

Here's what I say:

1. The text shouldn't be the focal point of your sig, so size it down and put it in the corner. Even better, give it a cool font.

2. Hrm...not much blending with the render. Maybe use the blend tool?

3. Background doesn't really fit. Try to combine a regular paint fill with some cool brushes.

I recently made this. For the record, no renders were used. Just used a gradient, and some effects:

I know it's not much, but feedback?
Double post to be able to see my last one

Is ther a blend tool in PS? I can't find it. I just stick to smudging and feathering

From Photoshop CS2. (last I checked, CS5 layout wasn't all that different)
For layers: windows > layers
top left corner in the window

Various tools:
middle-left side of the toolbar.

If you're a visual (large picture 1440x900) (Click to View)

You should really start playing around with your editing tool, this is not hard to find.

RE: General GFX Thread - NoodooSoup - Aug. 31, 2011

That's technically not a blend tool. It's a blend mode or option. Essentially, a tool is something you can control and change (I'm not explaining this well), like the Pen tool.

Tomato, tomahto.
Your blend tools are essentially brushes with different blend modes
