It comes out on Saturday October 12, 2013. It's weird that they're releasing it on a Saturday this year, they usually release pokemon games on Sundays like they did with Black and White and Black and White 2. Anyways I love the new way of battling, I wonder what'll happen if Wailord battles in the wild? Will it be huge or minimized? I wonder if we'll be able to catch other legendaries from past Gens like they did with B2 W2, HGSS, Platinum etc.

I am sure they will have some of the past generations Legendaries.

Unless they have already confirmed it, as the last time I had checked I had not seen anything about it, I hope they continue to have ways to transfer your Pokemon from other games.

I think on the promotional video, with the Japanese guy, discussing the previous games, he said something about catching pokemon from other gens, but I dont know if legendaries are included.

Well in Black and White even though you couldn't catch Gen 1-4 pokemon during the main story you were still able to catch Gen 1-4 pokemon after the main story is completed and go towards Eastern Unova. I think this might not happen with X and Y because since Eevee has an new evolution it's likely that other pokemon will have evolutions/pre-evolutions.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - BerserkerBegira - Jul. 03, 2013

In the E3 video JWittz posted it was showing genesect and the new mewtwo form, so i do believ you can catch other regions legendaries, like black2/white2 with Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit n that cave so i would think that some of the other region legendaries will be in secret areas you can access in the end of the story.

Some of this is old, but two things to point out. We get to hear the cries of the starters and Sylveon, plus a look at the special 3DS LL's (XL) along side the release of the games. They'll come with Pokemon X or Y pre-installed.
I swear, if those don't come out here...

yes finally a Ghost Steel type pokemon! I think that might be Nintendo's best combo yet!

A possessed sword? Oh dear... Now where's the shield? There has to be one.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - MattForce - Jul. 04, 2013

That could be a possible evolution. I just thought of something, this could be like hitmonlee and those evolutions. If you max the ghost Sword's defense you could evolve it to a Shield. If you raise its attack it evolves into a Lance. I bet if that's true they would have a combo move if used together in a double battle. This is just my thoughts of it.

I was thinking more on a version exclusive opposite. The sword being on one game and the shield on the other.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Bobmcdoogal - Jul. 04, 2013

A new type combo, I like this but the actual Pokémon itself doesn't looks like an actually being instead it looks like it's possessed by a ghost. Anyways I can't wait for the English name to be reveal. And I thought it was a compass for math at first glance.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Cannon - Jul. 04, 2013

That thing is so ugly, wth .. Looks like it could be used in Legend of Zelda, hahah!

Sylveon's cry in that video made me fall more in love with it, I swear.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - TentacleZooka - Jul. 04, 2013

Now imagine if that sword thing evolved. There could be a huge metal ghost holding the sword as an evolution, or an EVEN BIGGER SWORD!!!

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Anchor - Jul. 04, 2013

I like it, and I think it would be cool to have the sword on one game, and a shield counterpart on the other. The sword does look like it could be used in Legend of zelda, haha, but I like it.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - ~Mana~ - Jul. 06, 2013

The sword's official English name is Honedge.

I figured it would be a common nickname, maybe I will name it Soul Edge or something Smile

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Cannon - Jul. 09, 2013

Honedge? That's a pretty cool name they decided! Sounds sorta like "ownage".

Although I would have assumed Swords Dance would be used by putting itself into the dance .. lol.

Got some new info. I'll just list some here.
Xerneas, The Life Pokemon, is Fairy type and has the ability Fairy Aura. Yeveltal, The Destruction Pokemon, is Dark/Flying type and has the ability Dark Aura. Those abilities powers up their respective types. Pancham evolves into Goronda (Japanese), The Aggressive Pokemon. Its a Dark/Fighting type. Honedge's ability is No Guard. The Professor's name is Purataanu. He battles you occasionally. The evil team, Team Flair/Flare, is solely trying to make money. (Just greedy...)
Serebii has the rest of the information, so go there. Now I have another reason to not say no to panda cheese.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Anchor - Jul. 11, 2013

Shushup and Peroppafu look pretty cool too, and they're version exclusives. I like the evolution for pancham, and the other stuff is cool too. I really want to see the starter's evolutions though.

RE: Pokemon X and Y! - Ga' - Jul. 12, 2013

Does no one realize the significance of one of these sentences.
The professor can legitimately battle you. If the guy becomes one of those special endgame trainers that would be amazing.

I mean come on, I doubt that most of you played Pokemon Red/Blue etc. and didn't wonder what it would be like to battle Professor Oak for example. This is sweet.

ugh they're turning me off from Xerneas even more, mono-Fairy what is this. At least give it a dual type, it can't pull off the mono as well as Mewtwo, Groudon and Kyogre.
