And Quilt. Hell, even King Seahorse. They don't have clan requirements, so you don't have to worry about not being able to use the Skill. Hell, you can use Aermo from the Kagero, even Helena in the Narukami deck, in any clan deck. Cycling units aren't game winners, and they're poor boosters. You shouldn't even be worked up about these cards because they're subpar; you can live without them.

Also, Turboraizer being common, compared to Battleraizer, is a blessing. Hell, you can get FOUR BATTLERAIZER easy when the Trial Decks come out. If not, you can buy them in singles because it's HELL of a lot easier.

My concern is purely in the card value and not the actual card effect itself. I feel PR cards deserves a better evaluation. Yet its sad to see the english department releasing these previously hard to get cards in C variants.. I'm just using "thinning" class cards as an example since all of them are not C releases (Japanese) iirc.

And in my community, the term filtering is coined for them cards/act instead of "thinning". I'm just using a local slang thats all. If it confuses you, I apologise.

I believe that the trader market plays a huge part on whether a card game survives or not.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Rustled Jimmies - Jun. 16, 2012

PR cards get that kind of treatment in English because the methods of obtaining them are not accessible to the English audience, such as buying CDs or magazines. Some Promos are even getting retooled (dunno if that's the right word for it), like Purple Trapezist in BT07, which will have a "simultaneous release" in English.

And some of these promos aren't even that good in the first place; most of them are sub-par boosters that have little effect in an actual deck. Some of them are exact clones of other cards, whose effects will work differently on their clan than the same effect used in others. TBH, a card like Turboraizer or Sphere Magus would benefit more than Battleraizer or Lozenge Magus because of the accessibility to triggers. Some Promo cards such as, say, Rising Phoenix aren't even that good to provide proper evaluation because they're subpar. Demand for certain cards affect their prices, like how Deadly Swordmaster was only $1.99 in CoolStuffInc when there was only 1 left. If the card wasn't in high demand, then there isn't a need to evaluate them, promo or not, at a high amount.

Seriously, half to a little more of these promo cards aren't even that good. They have very subpar effects that shouldn't even ask to be in high demand.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Dual - Jun. 17, 2012

Saw 11 episodes and I love it! Even as much as beyblade (original season)! There should be a WCVO (World Cardfight Vanguard Orginazation). Ordered two trial decks and 6 booster packs. Is the Dragonic Overlord deck better or is the Blaster Blade deck better?

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Rustled Jimmies - Jun. 18, 2012

Personally, there's no ONE DECK IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER factor; it's how you play them. Trust me. I do Cardfight sessions with friends called "Trial Fights", where we ONLY use Trial Decks to play. There's no better, because one person can win with one deck, but swap decks, and he can still win.

It honestly depends on your gaming preference. Think of the decks like Boosters; they get you the cards you need right away than having to hunt for boosters, plus some deck exclusives. For example, most to all Kagero decks benefit with the deck-exclusive Berserk Dragon, which you can get four of in the deck, and 2 Dragonic Overlords, making it easier to get these cards without having to pay an arm and a leg (lol not really) for singles. Blaster Blade...well, I can't vouch for Blaster Blade because I don't play RPs, so I don't know very well what will benefit except Blaster Blade itself.

Anyway, decide which Clan you wanna play with. Dark Irregulars, Pale Moons, and Tachikazes are soon to be playable in August, so you'll have something there.

Guys, I thought the dub was good and the voices were like I expected: Aichi had a high voice, Kai had low, but Kamui should have got masamune's VA or someone who sounds like Masamune.

Technically, your post is spam. itt offers no valuable content to the thread. You're just posting for the sake of posting, which is a waste of a post and a waste of time.

Currently waiting for my first locals to begin. I had to hop and chase down busses to get here becausee it's a few towns over. Kinda excited, since i had little sleep last nighht.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - RAW - Jun. 23, 2012

Ahh ok *phew*

Anyway, Vanguard locals eyy?

We have a half decent Vanguard Community in the UK at the moment and I'm even selling decks to YGO players at school so they can get to grips with the game xD But I only get to play experienced players in fun matches after or before our fortnightly YGO locals.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Rustled Jimmies - Jun. 24, 2012

Welp, I got one win, one loss, and one bye. Needless to say, I didn't make Top 4 because of that bye. I won against someone who used a Narukami TD with an added Vermillion; the only time I lost against him was when he pulled out Vermillion. But I don't consider it a win because he used a TD, and I used a customized deck.

Though, it was that or face a girl's OTT, and I'm TERRIBLE against OTT. Especially because Goku decks can't hit Stage 3.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Dual - Jun. 26, 2012

Um, Im not sure if this is considered against the rules but I just wanted to say I made a Cardfight Vanguard Organization inspired by the WBO. If you want to check it out heres the URL- http://cardfightvanguardorganization.webs.com/
again if this is breaking any rules i am deeply sorry.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Giraton - Jul. 01, 2012

ok, i have the Victoria, Australia Vanguard regional tournament in less than a weeks time. i will be using a Garmall based royal paladin deck with alfred as a back up plan, 2 brigits and some C grade 3 from set 5 with 9000 power i cant remember the name to to power up alfred or garmall. there is no blaster blade but i don't have one nor need one. i cannot recall the name of the card but the promo card that boosts royal paladin high beasts is in there. i have 2 fang of light garmalls (might get a third if im lucky), 1 beast knight garmall, 4 snowgalls and 1 bluegal. other than garmalls, null-guards or expensive and rare cards i probably could not get by the tournament, what should i add to this deck that will just give it that small edge to get me far. i do have a lonhigrin but i don't know if i should add him or not. note i have 2 margals and that set 4 or 5 stand trigger that does the same thing as margal in the deck already.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Rustled Jimmies - Jul. 03, 2012

North American Championships 2012 Qualifiers have been posted

Unfortunately for me, I can't attend. If it be in New York City, maybe. But Edison...I don't have a way of getting to Edison.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Axel Phantom - Jul. 04, 2012

probably not going, not this year unless i can manage going undefeated at locals twice

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Giraton - Jul. 08, 2012

oh man i had the worst battles yesterday. it was the first regional tournament of 2 for the year and deck wouldn't give me grade 1s or 2s. out of 4 rounds of best out of 3 matches, i got to grade 3 twice and won a battle once being lucky with grade 2. worse day for battles but boosters were awsome, i got 3 boosters and a promo for entering so i got 1 set 4 (my deck is rp garmall based) and 2 set 1 (i have absolutely no null guards) and ended up with Barkgal, llew and the enigman R grade 3 and the enigman grade 1, and i have the grade 2 and 0 already. i also traded my promo for my first shadow paladin grade 3, so that was good.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Rustled Jimmies - Jul. 08, 2012

Cavalry of Black Steel, EB03, is out. pulled both G0 and G2 Vortimer cards.

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Giraton - Jul. 21, 2012

not sure if there are manny Aussie vanguard players here outside of me and chaos blader but i think i should say this anyway: Vanguard national Australian tournament english format is on on the 22nd of September. cost $20 but well worth it if you win, as you get to go to the english Vanguard World Chapionship for free, travel and accomadation included. im sure something like this is happening in other countries, i would like to know what is going on in the world of Vanguard.

ps: also: Grade 4 anouced along with new soul savior dragon card!

RE: Cardfight Vanguard (Yu-Gi-Oh's successor??!!) Discussion thread - Hitsugiya - Jul. 22, 2012

I learned to play today, but I'm not really that good, even though I was playing with a test deck, or whatever. It wasn't a trial deck though, I know that for sure.

Is vangaurd easy on a budget player? And is it fun? Im currently playing yugioh as of now so im thinking of playing both.

My deck cost me $14 to make. But like Yu-Gi-Oh, cards can be expensive.

Depends on the clan you want to use. Some clans (Gold Paladins, Royal Paladins, OTT, etc) can run you over 200 dollars.

There are cheaper clans to play, like Spike Brothers, that are still competitive. I think you can build a Spike Brothers deck for around 100? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I play [incomplete] Kageros, which costed about 38 for two copies of the trial deck, which nets you most of the key cards. Another 60-80 dollars and you should be able to buy all of the key cards for that clan, too, lol.
