RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - |Joe| - Feb. 03, 2011

Ah they sound really boring but I can see why they do good, thanks for answering.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Roan - Feb. 03, 2011

Yeah, literally, X-Sabers are the definition of a one-trick pony. They don't really do anything besides their one swarm combo with Faultroll. I mean obviously they make smaller plays (emmersblade sets, Hyunlei backfield wipes, etc.) that help them lead up to that swarm, but the whole deck is focused on swarming.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Themfbeybladers - Feb. 03, 2011

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Ultra - Feb. 03, 2011

What is the best deck to buy if you're considering starting out again and why? Sorry if this doesn't belong here.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Roan - Feb. 03, 2011

Do you mean a starter deck or a tournament-level deck to build?

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Feb. 03, 2011

Machina Mayhem is quite potent alone, and if you want to make it slightly more competitively viable, buy three of them. The Deck can Special Summon Machina Fortress if you discard a Level 8+ Monster, which is a plus, and on top of that, the only way to destroy Fortress without paying a price (your own cards getting destroyed or your hand getting attacked) is buy using a Spell/Trap Card.

A well built Machina Deck is generally the least expensive competitive Deck; My brother's Machina Deck doesn't need any Synchro Monsters, and it does quite well at locals.

Themfbeybladers - Please express your feelings of your favorite card here.

Edit: Beaten; I'm so rusty at this.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Pyro - Feb. 04, 2011

I actually wanted to try playing this again.
Does anybody know some good structures that involve Spirits?
I have all of them if I remember correctly.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Priscient - Feb. 04, 2011

Actually... Momo was it?
For summoning Machina Fortress from your hand, you can use Machina Fortress as part of the cost (Discarding levels of 8+) So, if it's from your hand you only need to discard that and any other monster.

And Stanley; spirits aren't used competitvely nor is there a structure deck for them. If you want to play casually however you can go on using spirits, even though you'll probably want to switch to competitive play quickly.

lol. pyro's gotta have his spirits!

I dont believe there are any structures that have any spirits, you'd have to make a deck yourself.

just asking, do you have Izanagi? its not a spirit, but it supports them. a must-have in any.

The only somewhat competitive spirit deck I can think of is Dark Dust Spirit in a deck using Macro Cosmos and D.D. Survivor.

Yata Lock. Smug

But yeah, spirits as a deck theme are pretty much jank.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - |Joe| - Feb. 04, 2011

Well I'm not sure if a recent deck i went up against could make it the MAIN THEME but I recently went against a deck that could be categorized as an Asura Priest OTK. He would bring it out then use Honest on it, destroy my field, and do massive damage killing me in one turn. Although I didn't side anything in because I wanted to end it fast since I had to leave but it was still pretty impressive.

I just remembered; I was reading the rulings for that a few days ago. Thank you for the reminder.

Try pulling that off consistantly against any meta deck. You'll fail hard. At least Dark Dust Spirit is somewhat playable.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - fabled red yugi - Feb. 04, 2011

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa sneak peak tomro 6 1/2 hours of yugioh
just a qurie
koka meri vs x-sabers both full decks who would win

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - kayneargand - Feb. 04, 2011

Koa'ki Meiru doesn't run well against Non-Dark decks. X-Sabers would keep bouncing cards from the field to the hand/deck, and along with the difficulty of maintenance in K'KM decks, X-Sabers would win, with a little strugge.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Feb. 04, 2011

I was thinking of buying a Blackwing - Breeze the Zephyr, assuming my card seller has it. Is it worth buying/Main Decking? It seems to work quite well with Black Whirlwind, which is why I asked. =)

Thank you!

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Priscient - Feb. 04, 2011

It's worth teching in at 2 or 1.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Daegor42 - Feb. 05, 2011

Personally, I wouldn't run it. With Blizzard and Gale (who can both synch for non-Blackwing synchros) and even Vayu, I don't think Breeze is useful enough to run.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Priscient - Feb. 05, 2011

Summon Shura/Bora with whirlwind and search for Breeze to make Armor Master.
Use Shura's special summon effect to summon Breeze and make any lvl 7.

And you can't only depend on a limited Gale to easily make your lvl 7's.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Nano - Feb. 05, 2011

*sigh* sneak peek tomorrow. BUT I GOT NO MONEY!!! I'm so sad ;(

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Daegor42 - Feb. 05, 2011

Like I said, I personally wouldn't run it.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Priscient - Feb. 05, 2011

I would advise to most people to enter Sneak Peeks.
There's a usually not bad chance of obtaining a mat (Depending on what type of locals you go to.)
And there's usually a not bad amount of "Money" cards that you could pull.

Right now any True Six-Sam cards and the Nordic Gods are good money cards from Storm Of Ragnarok.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Gearfried97 - Feb. 05, 2011

If i could go to a sneak peek, i would :P

the only thing is, i usually never have any money on hand :(

and card shops are nowhere to be found :o

besides, i dont like opening packs, because of my past in Yu-Gi-Oh when it comes to opening packs (wont get into details)
