I want to get a few more PS1 games first, but after that, which console should I get?

I am thinking the Sega Genesis or Nintendo 64, but I am not sure which one.
Dreamcast dude.
You can just Emulate Genesis on your DC

That wasn't exaclty what I was talking about when I said that.

It is a quite different, actually, and hard to see in what I said.

For some reason, different consoles have different "feelings" that they give off, and there is some sort of "feeling" I am in the mood for that is on the n64 and Genesis.

What I just said is probably weird, but it is different from what you read. I do like the libraries for the mentioned consoles, but I just "don't feel like" getting new games for them.

.............

I need to think before I speak.

Whatever. Sorry.

I decided on getting a Genesis by the way. I am buying 5 games from my friend for $15 bucks (that is the lowest amount he would take.)

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Bey Brad - Oct. 22, 2009

imo just emulate systems that are no longer being produced, same with the games for them. nobody is losing any money off of it

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - theflightyellz - Oct. 23, 2009

I've never bought any DLC for littlebigplanet, but I think the Watchmen pack is too good to miss.
Anyone here going to be getting it?

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Roan - Oct. 23, 2009

Littlebigplanet littlebigsucks.

I hated that game.

I don't like emulating or playing games on emulators, but thanks for the suggestion, I guess.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - To - Oct. 23, 2009

While I love LittleBigPlanet, it's not a game I spend a tonne of time playing anymore. Mostly because I usually play platformers like LBP on handhelds. So I'm pretty hyped for the PSP release next month. So much so I have a copy preordered so I can get my Nathan Drake in game Sackboy.

Virtual Console, PlayStation Legacy.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Sam - Oct. 23, 2009

Ahhh I don't know if I should buy the "Hardened" edition of MW2, it comes with with the original CoD complete with multi-player (they've also said that everyone who doesnt get this will have to wait a while) but that stupid "Limited Edition!" packaging looks dumb imo.

Activision is the virus of the video game industry. Good thing is that they're seemingly going to kill themselves off by diluting every property they own.

(PSP) GRAN TURISMO - 18.0k
(PSP) SOUL CALIBUR: BROKEN DESTINY < 26.0K
(PSP) PERSONA < 23.0K
(PSP) MOTORSTORM ARTIC EDGE < 3.0K

If you own a PSP, and none of these games, I hate you. Blue probably hates you for the MotorStorm sales. Less then 3000 units in one month in North America. The only consolation is that Persona, MotorStorm, and Gran Turismo were literally out for like a few days in the NPD count. Sony's gotta reduce the price for these UMD titles, $30 is great, the $50 I paid for Persona is not.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Bey Brad - Oct. 23, 2009

3000 units good lord

Agreed. Rare is even the console game I would pay 50 for. No way in hell will I pay 50 for a PSP game when most of them are sub par. I won't pay 50 for Dissidia, even if it's great, and I won't pay 50 for Prinny either (BTW, fans of platformers, get Prinny. It'll destroy your mind.) 30 is TONS more reasonable for most of these games Wink PSP CFW FTW.

I'm sorry, I'll get around to getting these.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on PS2 was awesome.

Yeah Grin that use to be my favorite game.

For Prinny, it went for $10 on the PlayStation Store earlier this month. Now it's back to $20. Disgaea 1 for PSP is also the same price.

And CFW is undoubtly part of the reason why these games sell worse then The Conduit, and Madworld.

This is not the discuss piracy validity thread. We have explicit rules dictating that discussion about it is not allowed.

Next person will get carp banned.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Blue - Oct. 25, 2009

Smile while I'm proud to be part of those 3000, yeah I'm Hatin;
Artic edge is just damn too awsome to be neglected that badly.>Unhappy To tell'em: which have you played more GT or MS?

yeah $30 is the sweet spot for new 'portable' releases. Its the first time I paid retail (39.99) or bought day one in months. But 40 ain't bad compared to 60-70 for consoles, I never eat that. For instance, I got Deadspace and Red Faction for $60 new this week

aside- Deadspace is really sick. I've wanted it since last year (oct 21st?), and knew it was great [i also remember Roan and Artie raving] but its exceeded what I was expecting from it. Only gripe is it could use some anti-aliasing

I almost bought borderlands this week tho, $40 this launch week... anyone here pick it up?

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - To - Oct. 25, 2009

MotorStorm is the more fun game, no doubt, and from the offset, I was playing more Arctic Edge then Gran Turismo. But as time passed, I've literally poured hours into it, it's kind of addicting, it's like Pokemon, but with cars. Good thing is I won't feel bad spending those hours, since I'll be able to import all my cars from Gran Tursimo into GT5 whenever it launches...

I said this at FanExpo, but lanching those two close together wasn't a smart idea on Sony's part. Two different racers, no doubt. But it's still two first party racers launched within days of each other.

Hopefully, somehow Arctic Edge can succeed on PS2, as that port was just released in North America this week.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Khel - Oct. 25, 2009

I bought Left 4 Dead for the 360 and have been playing it when I get the free time. It's sooooooo much fun.

RE: Gaming Random Thoughts - Crimson - Oct. 25, 2009

I bought A Boy and His Blob the other day.

My god, this game is the most heart-warmingly charming title I've played in a LONG time.
The art in it is gorgeous, and the controls are solid.

Easily one of the best games on Wii.

And yes, there is a button solely devoted to giving the Blob a hug. :3

I'm trying to decide between Kingdom Hearts or FF12, any suggestions?

^^^Awww... That game looks nice. Was thinking about getting it at some point myself. Tongue_out
