RE: Suggestions for the Wiki - Kai-V - Oct. 10, 2015 Ah, we can most likely do it for individual parts articles, but since we plan on automatically embedding those articles inside full-Beyblade articles, I doubt we could also import the individual categories too. RE: Suggestions for the Wiki - Rustled Jimmies - Oct. 10, 2015 Full Beyblade articles are the ones with more detailed explanation of the part, and its synergy with the Beyblade it came with, right? Like the MFB articles? I see your point...but I think it's still doable. If the part's explanation is in each Beyblade article, then you can just link they Beyblade Article into part-type Categories. For example, Valkyrie Wing Accel can fall under "Flat Tip" Category (Accel), "Standard Track Height" Category (Accel) (Assuming that this system is different from MFB, in which Track heights are determined by number, so that this system does not utilize a "metric system" like its predecessor and will go by either "low", "standard", and "high"), "Tri-Wing" Category (Wing) (Assuming that "blade" shape is still important, similar to Tri-Eagle and other tri-winged Wheels in the MFB era, like Unicorno and Unicorno II), and "v. Low" Categories (Wing). If there's an emphasis in a part's design that will change how customization will work, then it's important to note those emphases and allowing users to be able to search for those Beys via the Category system. If someone were to say, "A round Disk will help with Defense and Attack combos," then users on the wiki can check Category:Round for, say, "Central" or "Tempo/Horogium". They can be lead to an article like "Deathscyther Oval Accel" where they can read up on said article and, if need be, use it as reference of what to buy (if not, say Ragnaruk Central Accel). This is just an idea, but I understand the flaws of categorizing these into full Beyblade pages. RE: Suggestions for the Wiki - Tri - Dec. 05, 2015 This isn't necessarily for the Wiki, but could we get a list of parts that need individual articles? I want to do as much MFB stuff as possible, but I don't want to do something that it already complete or in the works. Maybe start a priority list of stuff on the top tier list? This probably already exists and I'm just too stupid to find it. I want to do as much MFB stuff as possible, but I don't want to do something that it already complete or in the works. Maybe start a priority list of stuff on the top tier list? You mean parts that need separate articles on the Beyblade Wiki but for which the content is already written and still valid, or parts that really have never gotten a sensible draft or any draft on Beywiki and need a thorough one for the Beyblade Wiki ? For the latter, I do not have time to make an exhaustive list, but this should help : http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php?title=Beyblade_Parts_List There are some known horrible parts in there, so it should be easy to write about them. All we need is to know what makes them bad exactly, hah. If you meant the former choice, you should look at our progress at either of these threads : http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade-Wiki-merge-Articles-that-can-be-copy-pasted-directly-on-the-Beyblade-Wiki http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade-Wiki-merge-Help-categorize-articles-for-the-transition http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Beyblade-Wiki-merge-Articles-that-need-to-be-fused-together But really, besides Burst Beyblades, the part-by-part system was not used on Beyblade Wiki before, so all Metal Fight Beyblade, Plastic and HMS Beyblades should be on the to-do list. |
