Ugh... Earthbounds creep me out so much... and their effect to attack directly is kinda scary, combined with their other effect of being untargetable by attacks. Just imagine if the had the extra effect like they do in the anime that also protects them against Spell and Trap effects.

Speaking of the anime, if your opponent only has an Earthbound on the field and you have a monster, can you attack your opponent directly? Because Yusei does it a few times. Its something I've been wondering about for a while.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Odin - Feb. 27, 2011

No. You can't. And remember, kids: the anime doesn't always follow the rules.

Is it possible this deck will open new wallet-friendly ways to build a six samurai deck. I heard they are very good decks but could be expensive

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - .:J:. - Feb. 27, 2011

i'm currently in a duel and i have my complete defence monster deck and i drew my first hand which was

scrap iron scarecrow
raigeki break
umi
black luster ritual
worm bait and light and darkness dragon

its my turn and i set raigeki break and scrap iron scarecrow and end my turn

he uses tuning and draws turbo synchron and then uses golden sarcophagus to put card in remove from play.
then he sets a monster card and places down one card.

my turn and i draw insect neglect and end my turn.

his turn and he draws then tributes his monster to set another one, then ends his turn.

i draw blackwing shura the blue flame and summon it in attack mode. then activate raigeki break and send worm bait to the grave to destroy the spell or trap card then end my turn.

he draws and gold sarcophagus brings back the card from removed, and then plays future fusion. he then ends his turn.

i draw scapegoat and set it face down and end turn.

he draws and then summons speed warrior and sets a card.

i draw drill synchron and summon it in face up attack then i attack speed warrior and destroy it... end turn

he draws and future fusion activates and special summons chimeratech overdragon with 4000 atk... darn... and he attacks drill synchron when i use scrap iron scarecrow.

i draw again and draw levia dragon daedalus and summon it, then i activate umi and it gains 200 atk then i use levia dragons ability to destroy all cards then i attack directly and take away 2600 points leaving 5400.

his turn he draws. then sets a monster and ends his turn.

i draw andro sphinx. and attack the monster and destroy it.

he draws and sets another monster and ends

i draw axe of despair equip it to levia and attack the monster and destroy, then end turn

again he sets a monster and ends.

i draw shield wing and summon it in defence and attack the monster with levia.

he does the same

i draw reload and activate it to send my cards to deck and draw starlight road shield wing delta crow anti reverse and different dimension dragon i set shield wing and attack the set monster.

he draws and then sets a card not monster and ends. i set starlight road and attack direct he activates
a card which would destroy all of my monsters mirror force but i activate starlight road and negate it then special summon stardust dragon, then attack with both winning the game!

Um... Thanks for the play by play I guess, but what relevance does this have to anything in this thread?

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - .:J:. - Feb. 27, 2011

dunno its just general yugioh also it's exciting fo me... especially as i just won a tournament and obtained a rare trio of cards...

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Temporal - Feb. 27, 2011

Well, it took me about a week, but I finally let go of two Book of Moons. I ended up replacing them with Kunai with Chain and Enemy Controller. And once again, Clear Vice comes through when I need it. I have 300 LP, my opponent has 2500. He has Obelisk, I have a Twilight Rose Knight and a Quillbolt in my Graveyard. (I know, I would have died if I didn't draw Clear Vice Dragon) Clear Vice Dragon vs. Obelisk always means 4000 damage. Naturally, the kid had gotten cocky and neglected to play any Spell/Traps facedown to protect Obelisk. CVD is starting to get very clutch for me! The fact that I have Monster Reborn helps...

It's not going to be wallet friendly to build an LSS Deck; I think it's cheaper than Sabers though.

One of the key Cards that isn't in the STOR set is Gateway of the Six, which is $30.00 to $40.00, I believe. Shi En goes for at least $45.00, and Kizans are $40.00, and you need three Kizans.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Roan - Mar. 01, 2011

I've got quite a few new updates posted over on my blog -- check it out!

I'd also like to point out the fact that my blog clocked over 2,000 hits this past month, which is literally double the amount of traffic from the month prior to that (January). I'm still having trouble believing how much the blog is taking off and how many people are starting to pay attention. It's really cool, and I owe a lot of that to you guys here on WBO. Thanks for being awesome guys! Smile

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - .:J:. - Mar. 01, 2011

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 01, 2011

Well, my local card shop sells the Ulti for 60, and the Ultra for 45. People also value it at around 50; just talk to some people who have it and are selling it. It's generally cheaper than getting it online.

Edit: Although, for cards such as Pot of Duality, Solemn Warning, and for me, XX-Saber Emmersblade, it may be better to get them online, due to its availability.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - JBey - Mar. 01, 2011

Ah. I see. Well, I know buying online is moar expensive, but I guess I just assumed u were talking about online prices...

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 01, 2011

You could always try eBay. I bought a handful of stuff there for relatively decent prices. Cards like the ones I mentioned above though tend to be a little overpriced.

Pot of Duality

Solemn Warning

XX-Saber Emmersblade

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Killer Beafowl - Mar. 02, 2011

Seeing as how more packs like Storm of Ragnorak(i think thats how it is) are releasing Watt monsters, is it possibly it could be a not half bad deck. They can attack the oppenent directly and sometimes strike two times per turn.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Chups - Mar. 05, 2011

Hey guys. Sorry if not Relevant but What Starter Deck should I get? Or what would be some good First Buys?

I wanna get into Yu-Gi-Oh! .....alot.

Thanks.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 05, 2011

Well, to start, you should totally get the Machina Mayhem Deck x3, and build from there. There are some really nasty (good) cards in there that will help, but you will have to buy single staples, like Solemn Judgment and such. Also, every Deck should run two copies of Solemn Warning, and it'll be expensive, but worth it.

Another Deck you can consider is Dragunity Legion, which is coming out in a matter of days. Hidden Arsenal 3 has support for this archetype, but the Deck is pretty good and complete, so long as you buy three or so. Again, you'll have to sprinkle staples.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - pegasis105rf - Mar. 05, 2011

Ahhh. Thank you Exact type of Answer I'm Looking for. Also do you guys Buy your Cards Online or Locally? If Online, Where?

Also do you mean I should get 3 Machina Mayhem Decks? Or is that what it is Called?
I have Much to Learn.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Killer Beafowl - Mar. 05, 2011

^^Ebay can be good, http://www.trollandtoad.com/Yu-Gi-Oh%21-Cards/4736p1n10.html , <----- another good place, http://www.dacardworld.com/gaming/yu-gi-oh , <------another good place. All are reputable.
And i think 桃太郎 buys his cards from locals and sometimes Ebay...i think.

EDIT:be careful with Ebay

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - Chups - Mar. 05, 2011

Okay. I have a Fantastic Card and Collectable's shop near me. Shame they dont Do Beyblade.

I just went to Toys R us and Got 1 Machina Mayhem Starter.

RE: General Yu-Gi-Oh! Thread - 桃太郎 - Mar. 05, 2011

With eBay, I've had great experiences with tons of sellers. Just make sure that their feedback is 99.7% or over. I usually buy from the seller "read_goodeal"; I haven't had a bad experience with him, other than the shipping is a little slow; he sends the day after or so after you've paid him.

Anyway, yes, I do mean that you should get three Machina Mayhem Decks. People see them as tier-two, mainly because I feel they aren't played as much as other Decks. In my Meta anyway... but the Deck is good and has OTK power when built well.

At pegasis105rf, I've taken a look at your Deck, and it seems you're running a very dated Deck. One could argue that it may be worth it to get the Legendary Collection (LC), but it's just a $30.00 Set that is full of old packs. I wouldn't get it. If you want to be able to hold your own in the current meta without paying too much money, then get three Machina Mayhem Decks as suggested above to start.

Edit: You just need two more now. Joyful_3
